Affordable, tasty and relaxed

My wife and I had dinner here last night. Arrived at about 7 PM on a Tuesday and the place was no more than half full. Music was subdued and it wasn't too noisy. Menu isn't large, but it's diverse. Shouldn't be at all hard to find something you like. Nice selection of appetizers. Although I... read more

Boringly predictable. Same old, same old. Getting too fancy = known beer offerings slim to zero. Add negatives of chilly temperatures in mid-May and loud screaming lyrics overhead. Go across the street to the Oak Park version of Culinary Arts for really tasty foods served by lovely dedicated people. Bringing your own drinks makes this even more enjoyable.

OMG ...this food was delicious and the restaurant was equally appealing. I would certainly return to this restaurant. We started out with the Clam Chowder soup, which was different (but good) with more of a tomato base. But what we were most excited about was the Calamari, the Asian Soy Glazed Salmon Salad, and the Chicken Rice Bowl. These item's... More

Drinks: both the red sangria and the peach sangria were of very cheap quality. Appetizers: bad - one of the mussels had mud in it, almost a spoonful! My entree - the broiled steak was hard to chew. My wife's entree - the lobster roll was disappointing... We skipped on deserts and opted for coffees. My cup had lipstick on... More

Another trip to Oak Park. Another very nice meal at Winberies. You can always rely on this clean, neat restaurant in Oak Park. It has a very varied menu, a Kid's menu, and good service. It's very comfy, spacious and you can always get a table. I can't comment on the prices as I'm from the UK, so to me... More

If you likes to breathe exhaust fumes from Lake St., sit outside. The interior is nicely decorated and the food is OK, overpriced really. Staff was friendly and attentive.

A step up from a diner but laid back, casual, friendly Oak Park restaurant. Nice beer and soup selections. Great for lunch and casual dinners.

Winberie's is a staple in Oak Park. It has a reasonable range of familiar meals in a warm environment appealing to individual diners up to large families. Katherine gave us great thoughtful service. Solid place to enjoy a good meal.

We hadn't been to Winberies in a while and are reminded why we like it so much - an eclectic menu, friendly staff, and a comfortable place to meet with friends. Our dinner selections included various fish dishes, a cobb salad, a great looking hamburger, and some outstanding appetizers (the steak tacos and polenta fries - excellent!). Our server, Katherine,... More
