Munch is a vegetarian restaurant mostly vegan with extensive gluten free varieties. We consider our meals vegan comfort food. Our menu ranges from protein packed meal salads to delicious homemade soups to satisfying stew bowls and weekly gourmet specials. Tofu and portabella spinach lasagna with Nana's authentic marinara and the Amazing Black Bean Burgers packed with roasted veggies are two of our most popular items. Munch serves real vegetable and fruit smoothies, vegan ice cream sweetened with beet sugar and many vegan and gluten free desserts. Our baked goods are made in house by our personal baker. Our customers dictate our menu. And thank you to all of them!

Delicious but over priced

The food was great, the service was kind of stressful, and the food was a bit over priced for what you got... I liked that it was fresh, but... It just wasn't worth the money to be honest. I'd recommend it for like a fun little date to impress the ladies though- cute atmosphere.

I'm not vegan or a vegetarian and honestly I normally avoid these types of restaurants but I've eaten at Munch a few times now over the past couple of years and every time has honestly been great. The food is prepared with creativity and passion. The walls normally feature the latest Chicago artists so I like that too! It's a... More

Because I am a total VEGAN, our local family took my husband and me (in town for a christening) to Munch for Saturday night dinner. Although the venue is small and unimposing, it's in a charming area--and we snagged a parking spot right out front for our rental car, which we thought was a good sign. (It was!) Our hosts... More

I found this restaurant on Happy Cow. As a vegetarian, I'm always looking for new veggie friendly places. Such a treat to have an entire menu to choose from for a change. It was an excuse to go to Oak Park and go to the Frank LLoyd Wright House tour which I've been wanting to do for years. The restaurant... More

What can I say? My wife and I just love Munch. We’re occasional Oak Park residents and found the place about a year ago. We’ve eaten here four or five times since then and we’ve never been disappointed. Neither of us are vegetarians but that’s irrelevant. The food is always interesting, fresh and flavorful. Along the way we’ve had the... More

Although the menu is a little lean on options, the food is a wonderful quality as in the setting. The owner is very friendly and engages most patrons. I would recommend the lasagna or "burger" along with the side potatoes. Also, the portabello mushroom appetizer is huge and filling :)

Vladimir and I are not Vegan or Vegetarian but we do like to eat healthy delicious food and that's exactly what we enjoyed at Munch. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful with suggestions. The portions were just perfect (if you want a massive jumbo processed burrito go to a chain) we prefer quality over quantity and that's what... More

The food there is amazing! there are so many options to choose from. As a vegan, I felt it was more than great and the staff is so down to earth.
