Great place, great service, friendly. Old time Chicago with cottage cheese, green onions, olives, peppers, celery, beets, cole slaw, macaroni and this is just to whet your appetite! The restaurant is a moment in time that should be preserved. Love it, and never miss it when we are in Chicago. So glad to see it has not changed a bit.... More

My family and I have been going to Petey's Bungalow for 50 years and have never been disappointed. Petey greets you at the door...pretty good for an 80 year old guy who looks and acts 50. Still cooks too! We went last night (an adult party of 4). By 5:30p the place was packed. Ordered sauteed scallops....perfectly prepared! Swordfish and... More

This place used to be excellent. A supper club, relish tray, then garlic bread and small bowls--all you can eat--salads like beets, cucumbers, macroni salad and more. The steaks and chops used to be excellent. All dinners service with both soup and salad and little scoop of ice cream for dessert. Great value but recently quality has changed. Went several... More

Visited this restaurant for the first AND last time on a Sunday evening. We didn't get greeted at door. We then get PARADED through main dining room only to be told, for all patrons to hear by a waitress: "You can't sit there. That table is reserved. Can't you see the sign". I snapped back to the waitress, I didn't... More

A dinning experience you will never leave hungry. You won't get this quality of food or value anywhere in this area. The Pork chops are unbelievable. My dog even knows when we come home waiting for those bones. Its very quaint and different from the average restaurant. We took pictures of the ribs and chops because the portions are so... More

My wife and I love to dine at Chicago's "old school" restaurants, and places like Golden Steer and Tom's Steakhouse have been favorites of ours. We made the trek down Cicero from the Northside last weekend and had a great dinner at Petey's. Like other reviewers, we agree that this place has so much to offer, and yet is in... More

Petey's is a supper club of the past, still needed and appreciated today with an old world dining experience unique and still appreciated. Petey's offers excellent grilled steaks, fish, broiled lamp chops to die for and recently I had a whitefish prepared Grecian style with seasonings, lemon and olive oil. All meals come with relish tray plus (for those of... More

I had the walleye which did look very appetizing when presented. However it was fishy tasting and scales were not all cleaned off. My husband & brother in-law had a T-bone which he couldn't cut with the cheap silverware they give you,not to mention the fatty taste of the steak. My mother-in-law had chicken which was very greasy. STAY AWAY
