Honored our reservation time and graciously seated us. Ordered drinks, salads, soup, and entree. Salad and soup promptly arrived. The pear, walnut and blue cheese salad was delicious. The French onion soup was acceptable. We then sat for 40 minutes until the manager told us that they were out of potatoes and asked if we would accept whipped cauliflower instead. Sure, no... More

The French chefs know how to deliver great seafood. The Pome Frites are very popular but not my cup of tea. Always stay away from anything the French refer to as "Steak", but then again, what would you expect!

Basic French bistro food and setting. The service is quick and the food is above average. During the brief Chicago summer, the outdoor section is worthwhile.

Our lunch at Mon Ami did not live up to the reviews or our friend's recommendations. I had the onion soup and mussels, both disappointing. My wife had trout almandine which could have been much better. First, a good onion soup is dark and rich; cheese covers a dried or toasted slide of bread. While the cheese was plentiful, the... More

Mon Ami Gabi was a great surprise, especially when you see it's located in a mall with chain restaurants. The French bistro is very good - excellent service and atmosphere. You have to try the French onion soup!!

I traveled from Columbus, Ohio to have lunch at Mon Ami Gabi with my girlfriends before our trip to France. This was my first time in a Mon Ami Gabi restaurant and I had a hard time deciding what to order because the menu had a great selection. We enjoyed some lovely cocktails and wine and everyone seemed to enjoy... More

I do enjoy this restaurant. They have an excellent wine selection, try the Sancere it's outstanding! Management made a decision that has disappointed me. They have removed the outstanding fish and frites. One of my absolute favorites. Please bring it back. I know I won't be going back to often with out this dish on the regular menu.

You just can’t go wrong with Mon Ami Gabi. I know it is a chain (four around the country) and part of a larger chain (Lettuce Entertain You). Yet it still keeps me wanting to come back for more. Fabulous service. Excellent food. Outstanding wine list. Great ambiance. And grab a seat outside if you can. Took my parents here... More

What comes from the kitchen at Mon Ami Gabi is the results of true artists at work, patiently assembling all the materials of their craft, just as a painter squeezes oil colors onto his palette to create a masterpiece. The food at Mon Ami Gabi looks beautiful, tastes exquisite, smells wonderful, makes you feel good, inspires romantic feelings...

Because France was playing Germany in the quarter finals, we thought we would pretend we were in Paris and came to the Oak Brook location near our home. Icy oysters, refreshing Badoit, and their two wonderful cheese sandwiches (the grilled cheese special and the croque monsieur) served with frites were perfect! Too bad France lost!
