Only a few miles off I-64 and a few miles from Scott AFB - a colleague found this beautiful and historic mansion. Menu looked interesting so we found our way over (a few tricky turns) and it exceeded our initial impression. Beautiful restored 1857 wheat plantation home with a large bar and several dining rooms. Service was excellent and server... More

The surf and turf was wonderful with the meat being prepared just right. They were very accommodating in substituting potatoes for Brussels sprouts which were awesome. Paulo's was suggested to us by one of our threesome who lives nearby and knows we like locally owned places. We were certainly impressed. It is conducive to conversation. The atmosphere and decor are... More

The decor promises a much more impressive meal than they had to offer. The menu is prosaic. I had trouble deciding what to order because none of it looked terribly appealing. Nevertheless, I ordered Caesar Salad and a Pasta Primavera (though they called it something else). The salad was soaked in bottled dressing and contained little else. I noted that... More

Paulo's is a delightful destination, & everyone leaves happy! The menu offers something special for everyone...Favorites are the Onion Soup & Salad with sesame ginger dressing, Shrimp Mozambique, Sea Bass, Mediterranean Vegetable Pasta, and Chicken Valdastano. Specials are intriguing, and always delicious. We go often, and staff knows we love to be seated by the fireplace....a great place to reconnect... More

Surprisingly good restaurant in the burbs. This place has a lot of character and the food/service is very good. My wife and I both had steaks, and each were very good. Not great steaks, but also not priced like the most expensive steakhouse either. I thought the prices were reasonable. The service was extremely good. We highly recommend this restaurant,... More

We love this place. It's great for a special occasion or just to have appetizers at the bar. The food is top notch. My wife swears that the bread pudding is the best in the world.

Very good restaurant with great atmosphere. It's located in an old large house as the name implies (i wouldn't all it a mansion though). The wait staff is very attentive and friendly. The food choices we made were very good but be prepared to spend some money. The entrees are a a little pricey for a small town restaurant. If... More

This is the perfect place for a romantic night away from the kids and you don't have to drive to St. Louis. Make reservations to get a table on most Friday and Saturday nights. Try the sea bass and the bread pudding. We love it and go whenever we can.

We go the the Mansion several times a year and I always really enjoy it. The service is excellent and the food is somewhat high end and delicious. I really enjoy Chef-owned restaurants in general, and they have been flexible with menu for our 8 y/o son who loves to eat there, especially the desserts! The Mansion is beautiful and... More
