Restaurant is a great place for a quiet dinner that will not cost an arm and a leg. Hamburgers are great - 2-1 on either Tuesday or Wednesday night. Service is great and I highly recommend it

Been here before for brunch, but never wrote a review. Had brunch here last week, before heading to Botanical Gardens. Quite simply, everything was excellent. I created my own omelet, my wife had the chilaquiles, and my daughters split classic Benedict and lemon/ricotta pancakes. Everything was served fresh and hot. Warm syrup for the pancakes, which they didn't even need.... More

Seven members of our family gathered for Sunday brunch at the Prairie Grass Cafe. The service was excellent, the food was prepared in a timely manner. Everyone had a different meal and all were thoroughly satisfied. In addition, the restaurant decor is an homage to Frank Lloyd Wright and is conducive to an enjoyable experience

..and thus, I needed to order Chicago Magazine's #1 Burger. It was tasty. It has a blue cheese crust on it. No Bun. (Photo attached by me.) good potatoes, tomatoe. Evidently this restaurant sources whatever it can locally. The hot bread and butter brought to the table was yummy. The kale, fig, goat cheese salad special was quite pleasant. My... More

I went out to lunch with a classmate before a school reunion. We arrived right about noon and, despite the crowded parking lot, we were seated without having to wait. The service was excellent, the salads we ordered were fresh, and the prices very reasonable. I highly recommend the Prairie Grass Café for a business lunch.

I have eaten here for nearly a decade now and the food has never ceased to impress me. The staff is nice, the food is a little pricey for Northbrook, but its always hot and fresh. I always get the crispy chicken and they are willing to make substitutions as well, so get it with mashed potatoes if you can!

This was my first time visiting and I went there for Sunday brunch with my boyfriend's family. The food was incredible and the service was even better. If I have one complaint, it would be that I expected the bacon to be a bit better. It was somewhat thin, but cooked well. Overall, a fabulous place for breakfast and lunch... More

Comfortable informal spot which serves very good brunch on weekends, as well as lunch and dinner. High quality ingredients are the basis for all their dishes.
