I went out to lunch with a classmate before a school reunion. We arrived right about noon and, despite the crowded parking lot, we were seated without having to wait. The service was excellent, the salads we ordered were fresh, and the prices very reasonable. I highly recommend the Prairie Grass Café for a business lunch.

I have eaten here for nearly a decade now and the food has never ceased to impress me. The staff is nice, the food is a little pricey for Northbrook, but its always hot and fresh. I always get the crispy chicken and they are willing to make substitutions as well, so get it with mashed potatoes if you can!

This was my first time visiting and I went there for Sunday brunch with my boyfriend's family. The food was incredible and the service was even better. If I have one complaint, it would be that I expected the bacon to be a bit better. It was somewhat thin, but cooked well. Overall, a fabulous place for breakfast and lunch... More

Comfortable informal spot which serves very good brunch on weekends, as well as lunch and dinner. High quality ingredients are the basis for all their dishes.

Breakfast was disappointing, but dinner was excellent. Haven't been there at lunch - but it should be as good as dinner.

Excellent home made food with a chef's twist. Great place for kids and families. No view - it's in the middle of a parking lot, but the food is worth the visit.

Prairie Grass always has good food. The Moussaka is great as well as the skirt steak. Can sometimes be noisy with families .

Are office is in the area and we use Prairie Grass quite often to entertain our business associates for lunch. The lunch menu is excellent and well diversified. The food is outstanding and patrons can choose between, sandwiches, salads, burgers - but don't miss Sarah Stegner's homemade sausage and pasta. The noise level is energetic but there is a back... We recently enjoyed an evening meal at the Prairie Grass Cafe with old friends, which was satisfying and delicious. I was initially unimpressed with the somewhat lackluster decor, but the wonderful food certainly made up for any lack of ambiance in that regard. Bostonians have a high threshold for seafood satisfaction, and both the Halibut special and Tuna entree were... More
