Very Good dinner at Northbrook Court

There is a very diverse selection of salads, appetizers, and main entrees. The Claim Chowder was really good. Each of the three of us had fish, which was cooked properly to order. It took awhile both to get our initial drink order and to get our entrees, apparently because the kitchen was "backed... read more

Had a taste for fish. Wasn't disappointed! The Chilean Sea Bass, miso-glazed, was perfectly seared and had a buttery texture. The simple green goddess was basically a caesar salad with grape tomatoes. The dressing was rather bland and flavorless. My companion had shrimp de jonghe. Tasted good but not prepared in the traditional way, with crumb topping on the shrimp.... More

I met a friend, who came in from Wisconsin, there for lunch. The tuna on nine grain is always flawless as is the reception from the hostess and entire waitstaff . Nice selection of wines at the right price points are also a plus. I do prefer sitting in the Bar area, as the main dining room can get a... More

I have eaten here on numerous occasions. It can be difficult to get in on Friday or Saturday without reservations. There is a lively bar scene and they serve the full menu in there as well. The menu is diverse, but tends a bit toward Italian and Seafood. I have been pleased with nearly everything on the menu that I... More

Sounds like food court wars time right? If that is your reaction then you have yet to try Di Pescara, one of the nicest places in Northbrook for lunch. I've used it for personal lunches and for business lunches and it is excellent for both. The ambience makes it possible to have a good conversation, to conduct business or just... More

Dropped in for lunch and enjoyed the wide variety on the menu. The Grilled Clamari gardinera is SUPERB ! Loved it. It was nice that they offered sushi rolls as a choice----they we nicely done and flavorful. The Cobb salad was HUGE and tasty. I have Chicken parm----it was slightly overdone---but still a nice dish. I highly recommend this place... More

Although it's been here for a while, tonight's dinner was underwhelming. The Lettuce Entertainment chopped salad ala Di Pescara, came with almost no dressing, no flavor, too many bitter veggies and was not up to the usual standards we've seen elsewhere. We had beer and wine so can't comment on their bartending... The soup our friend had wasn't hot, but... More

My wifef & I went to Di Pescara for a Seminar. Dinner was served. The Staff was very friendly & accommodating. My wife had the Almond-Crusted Whitefish, Ihad the Penne Pasta in Marinara. We started with the Crispy Shrimp and salad. The Shrimp were nice & Cripy in a nice flavored coating, the chopped salad was very nice too. The... More

Came here with a group of 6 business travelers one night with no reservation. We were sat promptly. The service was good, there was a x-mas party going on in another room. This party seemed to take most of the staff off of the floor. Our server made some good recommendations. Out of 6 people, we had 3 people have... More
