Pleasant dining

Excellent medium crust pizza. Large pasta servings were very good. Spicy red sauce was better than the herb sauce. Gelatos were fantastic. Got both banana fudge and munt chocolate, 2 scoops in a serving, but separate small cups.

5 and a half stars! Unparalleled atmosphere, most accommodating staff, and above all the most exquisite Italian dishes. A must dinner stop if in Northbrook, IL. Military friendly as well.

On TripAdvisor recommendations i visited this restaurant on a business trip. It was mid week yet very busy, a validation of popularity and good food. Service was really efficient and they made a point not to hurry me even though i was eating alone. Good wine list by the glass (the sangiovese was really good). The melanzane special was a... More

We were looking for a non-pizza Italian place and fortunately found Francesca's. Mary Frances was our helpful and friendly server. We started with the Francesca salad, a melange of many veggies, topped by blue cheese in a vinegar and oil dressing. The Grouper was excellent and it came with Sun dried tomatoes, asparagus, and mushrooms. The Veal Milanese was the... More

Caesar salad and pizza were very good. Everything else ordered was so bland. Totally flavorless and boring. Nothing special here.

We've been to this restaurant many times in the past and it never disappoints. My favorite opener are the mussels. they come in a tomato broth and are to die for. Every time I have had their clever preparations for fish I have always loved them. Presentation is excellent. The wait staff is friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is... More

Had an 8:30pm valentine's dinner. Did not feel like it was a late time to be out. 1 hour into our dinner the staff began to clear the dinning room of all the small rental tables, they crowded all the chairs to one side of the room. They did this one by one as people left until we were the... More

I been here many times and I really like it here. They have a new menu every day. Nice atmosphere. Great food, great drinks, great service. It does get very crowded but sometimes you can snag a table at the bar. I actually think the service is better at in the bar area. The spicy mussels appetizer is fantastic. Sometimes... More

Have been here a few times always for dinner. Service is always very good I never feel rushed or are they very slow. I just think the food is not all that good. This past visit I had the scallops with butternut risotto. The scallops were horrible it's like they boiled them instead of searing them. They did not even... More

We have been fans of Francesca's Restaurants for a long time. When we lived in the city, Mia Francesca was on our "Favorites List." Same goes now, being out here in the near-north suburbs. In the city, we walked over to Mia Francesca. Always busy with a nice, city vibe. Here in Northbrook, it's a 5-minute drive to Francesca's North.... More
