After waiting for roughly one hour I was excited to eat here after reading the reviews. I should have listened to my gut instinct when I saw what the staff looked like. Very unprofessional. The food took forever to get to our table (I was dining with friends) and it was bland and over cooked. We tried to find something... More

The restaurant was tiny and felt like we were sitting on top of one another. The food was good. Surprised an italian restaurant was out of Lasagna at noon.

We were out of town for work and saw that it was #1 out of 82 in the Northbrook area. We decided to check it out. Atmosphere is great! We had unbelievable service and the food was to die for. Wow! We will be back!

First time to your restaurant. Mary our server was great. The daughter of Francesco was gracious and so friendly. I had the Osso bucco on Risotto. We started with the Calamari and it was some of the best I have ever had anywhere. We will return.

While in town for a wedding, I did some research to find a restaurant nearby. This restaurant consistently had good reviews among several sites I visited. Unfortunately, it ended up being further away than we expected, but it was definitely worth the drive. It was also pricier than had been advertised elsewhere. When my Chicago friend met us there, she... More

Such a charming restaurant. Menu is written on blackboard in small dining room. We had 4 and were asked if we wanted to sit in the back. Table was beyond the kitchen, in the storage area. It was a fun experience...the owner chatted with us and gave his recommendations. Loved the pasta of the night with veal meatballs. Wine was... More

I've been in for dinner and lunch several times, but hadn't written a review before. The only thing I don't like about the Hole in The Wall is the wait to get in! This is a popular place that doesn't take reservations, so there is always a 20 to 30 minute wait for dinner. It's worth it though, I've never... More
