The restaurant is an adjunct to the Niles Park District Tam O'Shanter Golf Course, but operates year-round, from breakfast to late-night. One of Niles best kept secrets. The owner and staff work very hard at servicing their customers. The menu has something for everyone. Have been going here for years.

Tooling around all afternoon, we worked up an appetite and needed a meal. We were in Niles and spotted the "Howard Street Inn". I wasn't sure I wanted to eat at a restaurant affiliated with a golf course..for some reason I was thinking microwaved food, etc. but we decided to give it a try. First off, hostess and wait people... More

I know after reading the other reviews that I am in the minority but I really tried to like it here. We went for the first time on a Groupon and had an ok lunch. We then went back to try the Sunday buffet brunch and thought it was pretty disappointing and limited in variety. We then went back again... More

My wife and other friends have gone to the Howard Street Inn on a number of occassions and hve had no problems. This evening my wfe went there for an early dinner. My wife had the Shrimp Tacos and enjoyed them, me I had the Fish & Chips opting forthe Tater Tots as a side. I also ordered a Ginger... More

Met some friends here. As another person wrote it is not your average sports bar. Looks like a lot of regulars eat and drink here. Had to wait 20 minutes for a table so it isn't the well kept secret another reviewer wrote. I think the 5 star reviews come from locals, but I give it a very strong 4... More

Another well-kept secret in Niles. On Thurdays. they have two for one pizzas(takeout or eat-n). The thin crust pizzas are handmade with fresh cheese blend topping. Also on Thursdays they have $3.00 well martinis. The beer is cold, the waitresses are friendly, and they have several big-screens. What's not to like? Sunday brunch is cheap and delicious. If you are... More

We went for an early New Years eve dinner and we were not disappointed. Though not huge, it is definitely a sports bar, including two large TVs, and about 15 smaller ones all around the dining and bar area. We did notice the manager on the floor and he was working every bit as hard as the rest of the... More

My wife and I decided to try the Howard Street Inn the day after Thanksgiving and are we glad we did! Upon entry you'll find a round dining area overlooking the golf course with floor to ceiling windows decorated with plentiful college/pro pennants & posters. A large bar area is on the East side plus there's several TV's with various... More

We came for lunch at 1:00PM---10 of us. Without reservations, they accommodated us easily. Service is excellent, beers and wine specials on Tuesday. They have specials everyday though. It wasn't loud when we were there. Very relaxed atmosphere, and on Sat. and Sunday, they have a buffet breakfast costing about 12 bucks. Outside dining is good, but not past September.... More
