I had a hankering for authentic paella and researched avialble locations in the Chicago area. Meson Sabika and its predecessors at that location have always had a good reputation, with Emilio Gervilla having had a previous relationship with this restaurant. So I prepared myself for a paella outing. Whatever this was, it wasn't paella. I was swerved a mediocre, flavor... More

I went to this restaurant with a group of friends. They raved and said how much they adore it. My first impression is that it has the feel of an over-crowded doll house house. It was very floral and probably impressive, if floral, cramped rooms are your thing. You really only see the room you are seated in, but are... More

My husband and I had a 5:30 reservation for our anniversary and we were not disappointed! it is no wonder that this is Naperville's #1 restaurant. The atmosphere was beautiful; there was even a wedding reception happening in the private room. I'm sure the couple was pleased with the ambiance for their special day. We ordered several tapas plates including... More

As a local, we frequent Meaon Sabika as they have excellent food and sangria. Too many times we've been frustrated when sitting inside as the beautiful old house causes voices to "carry", i.e. It's loud and you feel like you're screaming to be heard and struggling to hear your companion/group. So we no longer go there except when we can... More

One of my two favorite restaurants in Naperville. The food is fantastic--we always get tapas and order way too much food because we have to order our favorites and try their specials. Atmosphere is lovely. The staff is kind and hard-working.

I have been several times with friends, and have always had a wonderful time! The food is good, the waitstaff pleasant & helpful, and the sangria is outstanding!

we discovered this place almost twenty years ago--great ambiance whether you are inside the mansion or out on the patio, or now at a reception in their banquet addition. It is great because you can order many different tapas dishes instead of one huge entree that can't be humanly consumed (like at many restaurants). It is fun to share dishes... More

Always our pick for a special occasion! We've never had a bad experience here. Service is first rate. Nice atmosphere is summer (outdoor seating) or winter (cozy inside). Food is always interesting and fun to share with friends. It's nice that they take reservations. But we got there early on a weekend and were able to walk in and be... More

The tapas here is wonderful, but the best part is the outside (champagne) Sunday brunch in the warmer months! Favorites include the bacon-wrapped dates, multiple different seafood dishes, and ANY of the fantastic desserts. (Honestly, I could just go there for some nice warm goat cheese dip and dessert.) Their chocolate fudge sauce is divine! They also have a nice... More
