My wife and I go here often and always look forward to it. They recently added an extensive dim sum menu which is excellent. Who needs Chicago Chinatown? We've got excellent dim sum available in Naperville now for lunch and dinner. So, a dim sum and Japanese combination dinner is possible. Add a Sapporo Light and it's heaven.

We visited Raku on a recent Saturday night and it was terrible from start to finish. I had high expectations based on other reviews but it did not deliver. It was nearly empty but the service was very very slow and the server was rude. The things we ordered came to us way out of order. The sushi was not... More

Don't let the outside fool you. The inside is nice and comfortable. When we have a taste for sushi this is where we like to go. The owners are very nice and they believe in quality. Have taken several of my friends and they have loved it. Shrimped stuffed jalapeno is my hubbys favorite. My kids love the potstickers and... More

We stopped unexpectedly. I remembered seeing good reviews on TA. We weren't steered in the wrong direction. We had the Japanese shrimp dumplings, very good, Udon- seafood special, curry chicken & rice & the Fire Dragon roll. It was enough food for 3 people! All really good! If your in the mood for good sushi, definitely try this place. My... More

Went after reading reviews. Good sushi, not a ton of variety. The meals were also good, my children ate every bite f the chicken teriyaki and the chicken fried rice. My favorite sushi bit was the least expensive, the shiitake mushroom. It was delicious. The service was excellent, and that makes everything a little bit better. Overall, an enjoyable dinner.

I visit Raku once a week. The owners are ever-present (a good thing) and very friendly. I love the sushi and occasionally pickup food to go, as well. I recommend Raku for lunch or dinner.

Always friendly, great sushi, very fresh. The other food is served is very good as well. The best sushi in the western suburbs.

We have an annual meeting in Naperville, and so have visited several different restaurants in the area. This one is our absolute favorite! Excellent, fresh sushi. Choice of Japanese or the new Chinese menu, which has some intriguing entries. Our group this evening had the Fire Dragon (dramatic and tasty), sushi with ahi tuna, yellowtail, smoked salmon, regular salmon, and... More

Friendly family restaurant. I'm vegetarian and they treated me very nicely going out of their way to explain dishes and gave off menu choices like sweet potato rolls which were delicious. Will definitely visit again.

Although I'm a western guy, my wife is Chinese so I feel I have some good credentials in writing a short review of this restaurant. Although Raku is called Sushi and indeed does a great job with Japanese cuisine, they recently expanded into Chinese cuisine and here they really shine. The owner is a native of the Cantonese part of... More
