We rarely eat Chicago-style pizza (deep-dish, stuffed, or pan) so when we had out-of-town visitors who had wanted to sample Chicago-style pizza but not the familiar deep-dish served in Pizzeria Uno, Lou Malnati's or Giordano's, we had to research alternatives. Stuffed pizza was still deemed "too much" which left us with pan pizza. Burt's Place had been on our radar... More

I was recently in Chicago for business when my boss offered to take me and some other team members to lunch. He suggested Pequods. I had pizza at another well known establishment earlier in the week, one of my favorites. OMG! This pizza blew the other away! The thin crispy edges coated with cheese were awesome. The base crust was... More

We drove over an hour to get there and it was well worth it. I always get extra cheese and sauce, it's messy but the caramelized cheese along the top is fantastic.

Most of Chicago pizza is bland and mundane (sorry guys, but I grew up on Chicago Pizza). This stuff is excellent. You'll have to come out to the burbs bit it is well worth it. Their recipe hasn't changed in40 years. The cheese is bubbled and carmelized at the edges and sauce is tangy. A must eat.

I'm not much for salads but Pequads special salad is the best I've ever had .The ingredients for the pizza toppings are fresh and plentiful

We have been going to this local old pizzeria for many years because their deep dish pizza is delicious.

This pizza is unlike others you may have tried. It has a carmelized crust that is positively addictive. Go with the deep dish--you won't regret it! Tip: One of our party ordered wine. It's overpriced--stick with beer.

This hole in the wall establishment has been an oasis of laid back comfort food since the mid 70's; having grown up in Morton Grove, I have had decades of bringing friends and family to Pequods so that they, too, can enjoy perhaps the best pizza ever. Though now living much further north, several times each year I am certain... More
