Pequod's pan pizza is absolutely delicious. Gooey cheese, flavorful sauce & a carmelized crunchy crust. We prefer the pepperoni, but the veggie is also outstanding. We LOVE the sweet, homey atmosphere, tucked in to a neighborhood, unchanged for years. Yes it is small, but the intimacy is what makes it fun .The staff is exceptional as well. I never liked... More

Went on Halloween with a group of 8. Very very small restaurant but great food and service. We shared the house salad and the appetizer assortment and they were both good. Had the deep dish pizza in several varieties and all were excellent. Very reasonably priced as well!

Great local place that is well great family fare. Nothing fancy as it is a small place so expect close quarters but the atmosphere is great as is the deep dish pizza. We always look for an excuse to go!

If you want to visit a restaurant in the middle of a residential neighborhood that is small, quaint and a throwback to a family restaurant of the good old days, then this is a place to visit. Seating is body to body in the tight space, and they are not accommodating to moving you to a more comfortable space. We... More

Best deep dish pizza I have ever had. We were in town for a family event and drove 45 mins out of our way to eat here. It has great character and is tucked away on a residential street. We each had a 1/2 Peqouds salad. Great house dressing and toppings. One 1/2 Peqouds salad is more than enough for... More

I know we're in a minority here, but my husband and I were not enthralled with the deep dish pizza we had (take-out). It was loaded with food, almost casserole-y, but lacked in flavor: the Italian sausage wasn't flavorful and it lacked the herbs and garlic we like. Obviously pequods has a huge reputation because I had to visit a... More

This place is the best pizza in the Chicagoland area!!! Its a whole in the wall place, family owned, local to us, good service. Both deep dish and thin crust are great. The deep dish has caramelized cheese on the crust. Great salad and appetizers too. We ordered delivery and my husband dropped it on the kitchen floor!!! We called... More

We rarely eat Chicago-style pizza (deep-dish, stuffed, or pan) so when we had out-of-town visitors who had wanted to sample Chicago-style pizza but not the familiar deep-dish served in Pizzeria Uno, Lou Malnati's or Giordano's, we had to research alternatives. Stuffed pizza was still deemed "too much" which left us with pan pizza. Burt's Place had been on our radar... More

I was recently in Chicago for business when my boss offered to take me and some other team members to lunch. He suggested Pequods. I had pizza at another well known establishment earlier in the week, one of my favorites. OMG! This pizza blew the other away! The thin crispy edges coated with cheese were awesome. The base crust was... More

We drove over an hour to get there and it was well worth it. I always get extra cheese and sauce, it's messy but the caramelized cheese along the top is fantastic.
