First of all, I love ice cream and if you love ice cream, you will love Lagomarcino's! I had the three scoop sundae and it was the best! This is a very cool place that reminds me of the old ice cream parlor of way back when. Pros: Great deserts - Nice atmosphere - Friendly staff - Fair prices Cons:... More

Don't let the old building and interior put you off, it just adds to the fun of the visit. They are noted for their ice cream and candies, but they serve a good lunch. Tasty sandwiches and soup. The ice cream just makes for the perfect topper. The prices are nice too!

En route thru IL-IA on I74/80 and decided to stop in downtown Moline for some lunch. As we ate at the Lemon Grass Cafe (wonderful!), we couldn't help noticing Lagomarcino's across the street. My husband convinced me that we needed some ice cream after our great, spicy Thai lunch. So we crossed the street to this wonderland. The ice cream... More

Great place for lunch, ice cream, and candy when in the Quad Cities. I stop here every time I come to town. The lunch menu is fairly simple, mostly sandwiches, the Sundaes are very good, and there is a very good selection of candy. Its just like stepping into an old time soda fountain shop/candy store with the atmosphere to... More

We stopped in here for lunch after hearing about it from the locals at John Deere museum. It was like stepping back in time, so cute, an original ice cream parlor. We had sandwiches and of course milk shakes. So good! The ice cream is the best. I want to go back for the famous hot fudge. This place was great,... More

Stopped in for lunch. I had the tomato stuffed with chicken salad which was excellent. They put something in the chicken salad that makes for a unique, delicious taste. My husband went straight for dessert.....turtle sundae. He loved it. The atmosphere is so fun and the service is great. Definitely worth stopping by when you are in the area.

My family and I learned of Lagomarcino's after taking a tour of the Deere-Wiman house and Butterworth Center (both a must see!). Our guide, Gretchen, was a former Hoosier like us and pointed us in this direction. The shop is small, but so cute. It has been in the family business for over 100 years! They make their own chocolates... More

Great old fashioned turn of the century places. Old time candy and soda fountain, just plain fun. The chocolate is always a stop for the Hot Chocolate Run, and always get a candy apple Yummm!

Back in town for a gathering of the clan and this was a must stop in Moline. Everything is handmade and the quality and care in preparation and serving has withstood the test of time. The malt we shared was the best ice cream of the trip and will be come mandatory on future visits.
