Have eaten here a couple of times recently and I have to say the food quality has gone downhill. Spaghetti was watery and the sauce was so thin you couldn't tell it was on there. The pizza is ok; definitely nothing to write home about. Crust was burnt. No offer to fix the problems. Will be a long time before... More

The old adage, you get what you pay for. Food is cheap but quality is poor. Their attempt at a roast beef sandwich was overcooked beef served with very salty au ju. The salad bar looked like they put it out at 9 am and it was just sitting there. Waitress almost too friendly and obviously knew a lot of... More

We went there for breakfast after deciding since it was closer than driving all the way cross town and some had eaten there before and it was okay. BIG MISTAKE. The waitress was nice enough but the time we had to wait for the food - an hour. There were people there when we arrived who we found still had... More

Arrived at 9 AM on a Thursday morning, parking lot was packed, did find an empty booth. Lots of locals and couple of tables full of coffee drinkers and senior citizens. Prompt service, excellant food & large portions, 2 of us ordered full breakfasts with 1 coffee and 1 iced tea, check was $ 15.74 including tax. Will eat there... More

Compared to the Downtown Diner, this breakfast was more expensive, smaller and not nearly as tasty. The ambiance is worse, too, in my opinion. For breakfasts, Pagliacci's is just average.

I can only speak for breakfast but it rocked. All the locals go here and it's a little off the beaten path but great breakfast menu and value. 7 of us ate a ton of food for under $50 and nobody left hungry. Our cups were always full and the staff was attentive. We ate there twice.

I'm not sure what happened here, but the net result is poor service and poor food quality. We were here once before and found the experience good enough to warrant a return trip. However this visit has changed all that. I ordered “all you can eat” catfish. My first serving consisted of one small soggy piece of fish that resembled... More

We've eaten here many times while visiting family in Mattoon. However this visit was by far the worst as far as the food goes. Our server was attentive, however the pizza buffet was never replaced with fresh pizza, and the cottage cheese in the salad bar was never replaced either. There was still 90 minutes left before closing, so certainly... More

They have great breakfast. The omelettes are very good. Hash browns are perfect. The atmoshpere isn't that great and the place isn't that clean, nor is the staff that good (I needed a refill), but the food made up for it.

I have enjoyed dining at Pagliacci's in Mattoon. This restaurant has a wide range of items that are available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I find the prices are reasonable and the service is adequate.
