This place was within walking distance from Country Inn. Good food at reasonable prices. We had an order of fried dill pickles prior to dinner. I keep giving this place chances. I go there every few months and always expect better. The pulled pork is always a safe bet, it's not bad but not anything great. The ribs are never good. The last time my sides were cold and the waitress looked at me like I was crazy when I asked for new ones. There... More

We were thrilled when this location moved in many years ago, because we loved the Murphysboro location, but over the years the quality of the food has diminished. The last few times we have eaten here the ribs have been cold when they arrived to the table. The bbq is okay, but other places in Southern Illinois are better, mainly... More

I was traveling in town for a weekend tournament here and I stopped in at the 17th St., Grill at the bar to have some dinner. I ordered a half pound of the pulled pork and it was wonderful but the sides were even better. Amazing collard greens the way they were seasoned and loved the green beans and the... More

I love 17th Streets Ribs! I buy their magic dust and sauce! I buy their sauce & dust for gifts. I never liked ribs until I ate 17th street, they use good cuts of meat so they aren't all fat. They also have beef brisket that is really good as well. I love their fried pickles and onion straws. Most... More

Ribs were so tough and chewy I should've brought my canine teeth to chew, chew, chew, thru them. These were not "fall off the bone", but more like "pry off the bone". Served lukewarm, with a very mediocre sauce applied. I am from Memphis Tennessee and I can tell you right now that if these ribs won any awards at... More

Although we chose this local eatery, convenient to our hotel, for their barbecue reputation, we both chose entree salads. They were generously sized & tasty, & my mixed drink wasn't watered down. Service was good, so recommend.

They serve highly rated ribs and BBQ that is from a world champion BBQ owner. Great flavor and tender meat. Whether you like it dry or saucy, they have the BBQ for you.

This restaurant was recommended by our staff at our hotel and they were right. We've eaten BBQ in several states and this was very good.
