The brisket was smokey and tender but fatty to the point of almost being mushy. Not sure exactly what the sauce is supposed to be - it really did not have much of any kind of taste. It certainly is not sweet and tomato-based like Tennessee BBQ or vinegar-based like Western Kentucky or at all like Texas sauce. As I... More

Love the wings. Wish you were still in Ofallon Illinois. This is a big place with lots of seating. Went for lunch with about 10 people and we all enjoyed the food. The pulled pork sandwich, the loaded baked potato and the wings were our favorites. The magic dust seasoning is so good. Bravo.

My husband and I are both certified Master BBQ judges with the Kansas City BBQ Society. On a road trip from Arkansas to Indiana we made a point of stopping here overnight just to eat at Mike Mills' restaurant. Although we are frequently disappointed in BBQ served in restaurants, we've decided this is one of the best. I ordered the... More

When I travel, I like to eat at local places and this is a great local spot in Marion. All the food is great, but the BBQ is special.

We ate at the Murphysboro location several years ago and it was very good but a recent dinner in Marion really stood out as excellent. We had the pork shoulder plate (the 1/2 # seemed like a pound) and Reuben. Both were outstanding and the in-house prepared corned beef was the best my wife has ever had. The next time... More

Great barbecue place. It's easy to see how they won awards for the barbecue. They have smoked pork, beef, chicken and even sausage. We had pork and beef, both were good. The side items are also very good, serious Mac and cheese, green beans with bits of smoked meat and fried okra were all consumed with pleasure. The location is... More

Stopped for Sunday lunch while traveling through area. Had two great BBQ sandwiches with seasoned fries. One was shredded pork and other beef brisket. Service was also excellent and overall atmosphere friendly and very nice. Will definitely stop again.

Of the two locations in Southern Illinois, this location is probably the easiest to get to on a road trip. It is within a 1/4 mile of I57 and is a great stop after a long travel or any other occasion. World Champion BBQ taste and good service. If you stop in Marion, give them a try, you will not... More

I eat here every time I am in Marion. The food, especially the barbeque, is fantastic. Our waitress was great and very attentive to us while we were there. If you like barbeque done right this is the place for you.
