My husband and i share the grand champion platter. Their brisket is some of the best I've had, and my husband is on a bbq team, so i get to eat lots of smoked meats. My favorites appetizer is the pimiento cheese and hot links. I also like that they always have a bottle of their dry rub on the... More

Awesome BBQ and great service from Ryan. Went with his suggestions and was not disappointed. Chicken with red beans and rice as a side was delicious. Highly recommend.

We don't usually experiment with BBQ because we believe nothing is as good as what you can get where you live. This was a pleasant surprise and experience. Our waiter was Tyler and he could not do enough for us when he found out this was our 1st visit to 17th Street. Mike the manager also came by to welcome... More

Large portions, samples to taste, very good service, nice staff and friendly patrons, within walking distance from Country Inn...just beyond the Speak-easy drive thru liquor store????

The food was fine, but ambience or character was just not there .Maybe I just like the restaurant by the same name in Murphysboro.

Traveling home, stopped for lunch. Located near I-57 & Hotels. Had lunch 2 meat plate, $12. Meat toasty and tender. Portion small, no bread or condiments with it. Sauce tasty not usual bbq sauce. Service okay. Will not return.

This place is run by Mike Mills who has won the Memphis BBQ several times and was voted best BBQ by the Food channel previously ( 06 - 07?). The smoked brisket, chicken, or ribs are outstanding, the mama fays potato salad is incredible. This place would be a excellent stop over for people traveling north or south on Interstate... More

My wife and I both got two meat platters so we could sample as many types while we were there. Each meat was very good and if we lived in the area, I can easily see making it a regular dining stop. Due to the competitive nature of BBQ though, I always find myself comparing each new thing to the... More

We hit Marion, IL about lunchtime. Boy, am I glad. I wish we could go to Marion a lot more often. I ordered the beef brisket sandwich and my husband ordered the famous pork sandwich - with the intentions of sharing. The beef was so tender and delicious. It made sharing difficult even with someone you love. The pork was... More
