Traveling elsewhere, we stopped in town for lunch. We happened upon this place and are we ever glad we did! The food was reasonably priced and super-tasty!!

When I travel, I like to eat at local places and this is a great local spot in Marion. All the food is great, but the BBQ is special.

We ate at the Murphysboro location several years ago and it was very good but a recent dinner in Marion really stood out as excellent. We had the pork shoulder plate (the 1/2 # seemed like a pound) and Reuben. Both were outstanding and the in-house prepared corned beef was the best my wife has ever had. The next time... More

Great barbecue place. It's easy to see how they won awards for the barbecue. They have smoked pork, beef, chicken and even sausage. We had pork and beef, both were good. The side items are also very good, serious Mac and cheese, green beans with bits of smoked meat and fried okra were all consumed with pleasure. The location is... More

Stopped for Sunday lunch while traveling through area. Had two great BBQ sandwiches with seasoned fries. One was shredded pork and other beef brisket. Service was also excellent and overall atmosphere friendly and very nice. Will definitely stop again.

Of the two locations in Southern Illinois, this location is probably the easiest to get to on a road trip. It is within a 1/4 mile of I57 and is a great stop after a long travel or any other occasion. World Champion BBQ taste and good service. If you stop in Marion, give them a try, you will not... More

I eat here every time I am in Marion. The food, especially the barbeque, is fantastic. Our waitress was great and very attentive to us while we were there. If you like barbeque done right this is the place for you.

Had a great meal before the Miners game. We had 7 in our group and were seated quickly. Consistently good service and food. We'll go back!

Right off interstate 57 make it a convenient stop. Good BBQ, sides and a very tasty home brew on tap. The pulled pork is very smoky (i like) and moist - the ribs are ok - smoked a long time so a more "hammy" taste to them with no crust or chew to them. The collard greens are some of... More

After reading some of the reviews and on-line comments, we decided to try this BBQ on a layover between Chicago and Alabama. My wife had the ribs and thought they were good- not great, but OK. Of course, she's used to eating at Dreamland in our home town of Tuscaloosa, AL. I had the BBQ sandwich. The meat was tender... More
