Again, avoiding the chains. Good food. good service. Had the spare ribs, ochra, french fries and sweet tea. Ample servings, great texture and smoky flavor to the ribs.

The food was decent. Best BBQ available in area, by far not. What made me consider a poor rating is service. Waitress was not very friendly. Did not really check in on us except once when we were done. Had to go up to counter to get receipt. The waitress apologized to the other worker, not us for having no... More

I have not had bluegill fish to eat in more decades than I would care to admit. It was good. Of course the Bluegill taste I remember was sweeter, but it was still good.

I will say that I have tried the Triple E BarBQ restaurants at 3 different locations. I will say that the location located on Lake of Egypt Rd. just west of Market St. is Superb! I've gone there numerous times and have never had a bad meal yet. The fish fry they have is to die for! So much better... More

I'm that guy you heard about, you know the one I went to a barbecue restaurant and ordered the fish. Don't do it! The fish labeled blue gill on the menu tasted like carp that had been raised in a sewage treatment plant! Service is ok. Food is disgusting. Price is way over what it should be. Don't bother a... The atmosphere at Triple E is kind of a diner type of feel. It is large and open with a lot of space. I have been here a few times and have always had pretty good service. I can't think of one time where I have had bad service and I have been here with large parties. I would have... More

The staff was very friendly and attentive. I had the baby back ribs, fries, and coleslaw. She had the fried shrimp onion rings, and baked potato. The ribs were very meaty. No smoke ring, no smoke flavor. There were two types of BBQ sauce on the table. Not sure what you would call them. Both had a distinct sour flavor.... More

Doesn't matter which Triple E you go to, it smells like old grease. Probably because that's an awful lot of what they deal with. All the food is greasy. Almost everything is deep fried (except for the barbecue, which I don't care for). But if you like "all you can eat" then this is the place for you. The staff... More

The servings were a nice size for the price, but the sauce was a little spicy. Not my favorite BBQ. The meat was tender and the slaw was tasty.

Years ago, this small chain was good. It's not anymore. The barbecue sandwiches were mostly chopped pork fat. I guess they figure if they chop it fine enough, no one will notice. UGH!
