Honey baker's - drop by for lunch if you are in Marion

This is my second review of this restaurant. Went there a couple of years ago and found it even better this time. We had excellent service and the owner dropped by and chatted with our hosts. The food was very tasty: chef salad, chicken & dumplings, and sandwiches were all well-received. The... read more

When traveling we like to try local places and avoid the chains we can go to at home. Reading the other reviews the food sounded good so we stopped and it did not disappoint. We got sandwiches which we split to save room for dessert. The rolls are fantastic so really enjoyed the mini meatloaf sandwiches served in them. Desserts... More

Normally a ranking of 20 in a relatively small town wouldn't catch my eye, but the name was intriguing, it wasn't another standard franchise and there was potential for homemade pie .... After dining there I can't imagine why this place isn't ranked in the top 5. The homemade yeast rolls with honey butter were served warm and literally melted... More

I lived in southern Illinois for ten years, and ate at dozens of different restaurants. Honeybakers is easily in my top 5 places to eat in the 618. Their rolls are great. Their barbecue is awesome. The meatloaf minis wrapped in bacon are off the charts. And their wide array of desserts never disappoints. The prices are reasonable, the service... More

We like to eat at Honeybakers when in Marion. The pie this unbelievable the maringue this a mile high. Cinnamon rolls as big as your face....and cake that puts all others to shame. Food this good also... had the prime rib loaded potato and a salad.. little pricey on the prime rib... but, good and brought some home. You won't... More

A little inconvenient not being open on Sunday or Monday but the homemade food is worth the wait. Rolls and honey butter are out of this world. Portions are great too

This was our first visit here. Service was below expectations. Food was nothing special at all. We went there for ribs. They only do ribs on certain nights. We should have left.
