Went here for lunch today. Had a lunch special with a salad and two rolls, and a drink for under $10. It was really good and I love sushi rolls. It is a place to get something quick, but wouldn't recommend this for a date night or anything.

For a quicker, less expensive hibachi meal you can't beat Hachi Hachi! The food is always hot and tasty! Not a good place for gluten-free diners.
Although far from the best sushi I've had around the world, Hachi Hachi was overall very good! Closest sushi to my hotel according to Google Maps. Unremarkable strip mall location. Definitely not a fine food restaurant, but a good value for the price. Very fresh tuna and salmon. Not enough unagi in the roll and needed more sauce. Wakame/seaweed salad...

I was an avid promoter of this restaurant 2-3 years ago. As, the Rockford area obtained more sushi restaurants over the years, Hachi Hachi has become a small fish in a big pool.
The Hachi Hachi on riverside service is good. Stay away from the service on State St. Every week they have a new employee. It has gotten so...

Im not downing their food at all...food is good at a decent price. I usually frequent Hachi Hachi 2-3 times per week. However, they do mess up orders from time to time. Today I ordered a hibachi dinner that comes with vegetables. I asked for mushroom only, no other vegetable (my usual, which they should know, I order there enough!)....

I like eating Hatchi Hatchi although it is not cheap by any means. This place does not even use any real crab meat so don't expect it. The food is good, but there usually is a wait. The crab egg roll is REALLY good for being imitation, but it is expensive. I think it is close to $5 each.
Surprisingly good. Good portion. The menu is pretty good. The food is fresh.
They call themselves Japanese fast food. They are delicious. A bit on the pricey side and service can be really slow, so call your order in ahead of time.
The food was great and fast, and I could barely finish it. You get a lot for your money! The regular menu is limited - you pretty much only get to choose your meat. But they also have a big selection of sushi at a very good price. Also, they have those Japanese sodas. If you go to hibachi grills,...

If you like Japnese food but hate the price tag associated with Shogun or JMK... this is the place to go. The meals are still cooked to order but with out the ambience. They have great sushi and a very friendly staff that will keep you coming back! I love the Japenese Egg Rolls!
