This is a great fast food experience, but what makes it different is that it features Japanese dishes and the best sushi around! And the prices are VERY reasonable!! The employees are very nice, polite and efficient. They have plenty of tables and take out is fast and easy. They bring your food to your table if you are eating... More

Not only is the food surprisingly tasty for fast food, the staff is among the friendliest and most accommodating I've seen. It's not fine dining and you shouldn't expect that but the price is right and the food tastes fresh. Fro lunch, my granddaughter and I usually order sushi and one entrée to split. The portions are generous enough that... More

Completely average. The sushi rolls were average, and the main courses (chicken, beef, and shrimp hibachi plates) were also average. No bar service is another minus. Nothing was bad but nothing stood out. Keep in mind that at this place the hibachi plates are cooked back in the kitchen, not at a traditional habachi grill in front of the customer.

When you have a craving for sushi but don't want to pay an arm and a leg at the higher end places in Rockford, check out Hachi Hachi. Their sushi is surprisingly good and fresh. The hibachi meals they offer are also great and plentiful.

Went here for lunch today. Had a lunch special with a salad and two rolls, and a drink for under $10. It was really good and I love sushi rolls. It is a place to get something quick, but wouldn't recommend this for a date night or anything.

For a quicker, less expensive hibachi meal you can't beat Hachi Hachi! The food is always hot and tasty! Not a good place for gluten-free diners.

Although far from the best sushi I've had around the world, Hachi Hachi was overall very good! Closest sushi to my hotel according to Google Maps. Unremarkable strip mall location. Definitely not a fine food restaurant, but a good value for the price. Very fresh tuna and salmon. Not enough unagi in the roll and needed more sauce. Wakame/seaweed salad... More

I was an avid promoter of this restaurant 2-3 years ago. As, the Rockford area obtained more sushi restaurants over the years, Hachi Hachi has become a small fish in a big pool. The Hachi Hachi on riverside service is good. Stay away from the service on State St. Every week they have a new employee. It has gotten so... More
