Fun Place, Fun Food, Pretty good beer selection

I've been to this jernt a number of times and have never been disappointed. The decor is silly and kind of fun, the food is always as billed, and the service excellent. A large number of craft beers in cans and bottles. We always get Fish and Chips and my son has attempted to eat the Fat B burger... read more

I think this could become one of my favorites in the area without question for relaxing, grabbing a few beverages and catching up with friends. Admittedly, I am not a huge bar goer and have not been to every bar in the state line. However, of the ones I have been to, I think this has been my favorite. We... More

I really do want to like this place, there aren't any other similar options in the area. I do like their food and the menu choices are very good. But the service is slower than almost anywhere else I've been. Last week, there were four tables of customers during lunch, even with that small of a crowd it still took... More

We visited Hope and Anchor right after Christmas, after we heard that the Lurrie Bell Blues Band was going to be there. We've seen Lurrie before, so we new it would be a good time. The place is everything you'd expect from a "pub" style bar/restaurant, including a good selection of beers and pub-style food. If you go to this... More

The date is wrong as it wouldn't let me go back farther. I was one of the organizers of a local singles group and we all loved coming here at least 4 times a yr. I saw on FB they were having a comedian around the holidays and called right away and asked if it was going to be free... More

Being originally from the UK, I made a beeline to this pub on moving to the area! My last visit was the Saturday just gone and as always, I received excellent service and great food! I ordered the chips and curry sauce to start and for my main, the steak and ale pie. As they make the steak and ale... More

Went to meet some friends at lunch and enjoy the evening band. We ate at lunch and dinner; food quality and value for money was excellent, but the evening food service wasn't great. The pub had a great atmosphere and we had one of the best nights ever with plenty of seating and heaps of room to dance. As Englishmen... More

We love the Hope & Anchor and go on a very regular basis. We take our kids for dinner and sometimes hubby and I go later for an evening out. It is the kind of place where twenty somethings with tattoos and piercings happily coexist with grandparents and everyone in between, just like a pub in England. We consider it... More

We have been here several times and have never been disappointed. Mostly we order the fish and chips, and it has always been good. The last time we were there, a live band was playing and that was very enjoyable too. They have a good selection of beer, which we enjoy with fish. We intend to keep going back!.

This place is great. We just moved to the area and are trying out all the new places. The food, beer selection and staff are great. We plan to make this one of our go to restaurants.
