Best fish and chips ever. We traveled to Ireland last summer and ate a lot of pub fish and chips but nothing was as good as our neighborhood pub at home in Loves Park! They also have amazing pot pies. Eating here is like eating home-cooked amazing food. Though more on the pricey side, also a great selection of beers... More

It is a great place to eat! I think they have the best chicken wings in Rockford. On the weekend they have live entertainment which is nice to eat dinner to. Very friendly waitstaff with good service.

Although this English Pub is a bit pricey, they have great portions. The fish isn't greasy at all, very crisp!

Passing by this place it almost looks like an old English Tudor home , something just drew us to the place while on vacation so we tried it, we were not disppointed the food and atmosphere were great not to mention our waitress Marsha who made my 50th Birthday and Fathers Day memorable. Very good specialty Beers and the staff... More

Fun English pub with really great fish & chips. Nice selection of beer on tap as well. They often have live music as well.

My boyfriend and I took a trip up to Rockford for a convention. We stayed overnight and found out that a raggae/funk/rock band called Mr. Burgundy would be playing at this place. Pretty swanky. You're immersed in British charm the second you walk through the door. They've got pretty waitresses for all the boys to look at and a relaxed... More

Hope and Anchor is ok. Went there for lunch and we were the only ones in the place. Thought they were closed. Had sandwiches which were not bad but not great either. Havent been back since my visit.

A fun English style pub that serves excellent fish and chips as well as other typical English dishes. A warm, inviting interior plus outdoor seating for the summer.

This place has the most amazing beer-battered fish (Cod) and chips. We drive 30 minutes each way just for fish. And the best part of it .... it's on their DAILY menu, no need to wait for a Friday evening to enjoy the best fish in town! GREAT draught beers too with a good selection of product.

I have visited a few times - both for food and drinks (or both). My boyfriend and I have each sampled different items on the menu each time and have not yet found any food we really like or crave. The scotch egg is served cold, which was rather disappointing and gross, although the establishment claims that is the "proper"... More
