The food is very authentic with lots of various beers. While the parking lot is very large, it is very difficult to find a space at prime time from 5 - 7:30 pm. Usually there is a wait, however, the wait is normally brief. If you like German food, you must try this authentic looking Lodge.

We are locals and go often, mostly for the roast duck, which is so hard to find anywhere else. My husband will occasionally try one of their many sausage plates, which are equally good. And the liver dumpling soup is just like grandma used to make. Coupled with the great beer selection, its a real winner!

Our friend loves this place so we met her for dinner and drinks. There is an ample beer list and a good set of choices for German classics or standard pub fare. Somewhat pricey, but mostly worth it. If you're ever craving German food, this would be the place to go.

I went with my hubby for date night and we decided to sit in the bar area which was perfect. The atmosphere was lively on that side of the restaurant. The other side is more traditional and the bar was great for people watching. The beer selection was absolutely the best I have seen in awhile. They print out a... More

We have been going here since it was Chef Paul in Naperville. We have always enjoyed the consistent quality and taste of the food. We went for Mothers Day and we were escorted immediately to our table. The beer and wine list are unbelievable. The soup was wonderful as was our main dish which we shared. The boiled potatoes and... Let's start by saying that German food is not something that I really go out and get. My husband, however, loves this type of food and when I reviewed the menu online I was willing to go because it seemed to have a good mixture. When we got there we ordered the potatoe pancakes which didn't have a ton of... More

The bar has about 150 beers, I think about 50 on tap. So it is great place to try some craft and interesting brews. The restaurant has good food, it is very heavy German food, not much to eat for anyone who is dieting or wants to just eat light, but good food. I highly recommend stopping in if you... More

We ate here on a Saturday night. The parking lot was full and people were parking on the street. Once you get inside you see a sign that there is more parking in the next lot over. That doesn't do you a whole lotta good since you have obviously already parked when you see it... The beer list is quite... More

We have eaten at the Bavarian Lodge numerous times over the years, usually following a visit to the nearby Morton Arboretum; the restaurant is perfect for an apres-hike meal, after a day on the trails in the forests. The building and interior decor evoke the atmosphere of a genuine Wirthaus. Many of the traditional Austro-German dishes are available including Leberknödel... More
