My wife and I choose to eat expensive dinners only occasionally... one of the places we choose is Chinn's in Lisle and it's been our go-to restaurant for birthday dinners between our two months of Nov. & Dec. I personally like a place that offers crab legs the traditional way and my wife needs a place that can be Gluten... More

I would rate it with one more mark but the inside is just a bit dated. The fish choices are flown in daily and outstanding. I would suggest a Mai tai or maybe even two but maybe a cab would be a good idea if you have more. The garlic roles are fantastic. It is a lively place and can... More

Excellent fresh fish flown in daily. They have great cooked vegetables as a side as well as new potatoes. The fish specials are usually a good choice. Off the non-specials menu, I love the barbequed shrimp - subtle barbeque sauce that is excellent. The stone crabs are great when in season. The restaurant is extremely loud so not a good... More

Consistently good. Fresh seafood, the bill of ladings are hanging by the door. Very casual atmosphere. Service is good. Also has a very good bar and drink menu. Key Lime Pie Martini is one of my favorites. A cup of the seafood gumbo is really a bowl. So filling and tasty. Sometimes they offer groupons, which are a great deal.

we have dined at Chinns many many times and this it the only time it was a bad experience. we had 2 living social vouchers for filet mignon and lobster tail dinners and were told by that we could use both, Great we thought !! then the manager comes to our table to tell us there was no filet mignon,... the food is really good, but the price is not consistent with the atmosphere or with what you get. I mean it's good don't get me wrong, but I expect more ambiance and presentation with these types of prices.

If you've lived on an ocean coast and them relocated to Midwest, you know ordering seafood can be hazardous to your palate. Thankfully, Chinn's has figured out not only how to obtain super fresh seafood from around the world, but also creating an ethos. Mrs., self, & teen son had dinner here a few days ago. Meal, service, details were... More

I am from the Gulf Coast so consider myself a seafood expert, and Chinn's is quite simply one of the best seafood restaurants anywhere. From the gumbo that is truly authentic with the okra through the garlic rolls to the always fresh seafood, can't be beat.

I've waited a long time to go to Chinn's - and tonight was the night. On recommendation from a friend (who goes often for crab legs), off we went. Prices are high, but since I'd already checked the menu, I knew that the blackened Ono was my choice for dinner. Water in a plastic cup...hmmm. Wine came quickly. Meal came... More

Our visit to this place included Mr. Chinn walking around and helping the staff. The lobster bisque was good and the 16oz King Crab was just enough.
