Very good

I had a business dinner with clients. Service was very good, food was good. Casual local flavor. I'd come back in a heartbeat.

While staying in the Chicago North Shore area for a wedding, we wanted to make a pilgrimage to this recommended restaurant. Our visit was on a busy Friday for lunch. Parking is free in the large on site lot. The decor is reminiscent of a true North Woods fish camp restaurant, not an overdone Disney type version! Service was perfect.... More

If you are a local or traveling in the Lincolnwood area, then L Woods is a must. I was introduced to L Woods while visiting family in the area. We come here at every time I visit now. The food and service is fantastic. I highly recommend the BBQ chicken! I recommend reservations for less of a hassle. It can... More

Our family met up here for a nice dinner. Everyone seemed to really enjoy their food, except me. I ordered the L. Woods Chopped Salad. I thought it was pretty boring despite sounding delicious in the description. Their signature Bloody Mary was outstanding, and the apple streudel is enough to make me willing to try the restaurant again.

Dined here Saturday night. We had not been here in years and felt like something different. Many years ago, the restaurant was called Bones for its rib specialty. Although the menu prices have changed, it all looks and feels the same. I had some whitefish that was very tasty, husband had the brisket sandwich. He only ate half and saved... More

This is a neighborhood place owned and operated by the Lettuce Entertain You chain of restaurants and we go there often. The ribs are fabulous but last night I had a strip steak which was cooked just right, medium rare. Because it was a special occasion evening we shared the apple strudel dessert and that was so delicious. Service was... More

Remember the old Wisconsin supper clubs? This is your chance to relive one or experience one for the first time. Memorable bar and bartenders. Service is classic LEYE trained staff - finest kind. Food is a tasty throwback to an authentic Wisconsin Northwoods Lodge. Fun AND delicious.

Excellent food included cheese curds- a new one for me- golden fried. Also deviled eggs as appetizer and onion bread. Baby back ribs were best ever. Huge portions for all meals selected- we could barely eat half.

L Woods is always popular. People love this place and come regularly. The atmosphere is nice -- woodsy -- and the food fine. Fine as in all right -- nothing to write home about. Although to be fair, I hear that the fried chicken on Sundays is amazing. I've never been there on Sundays.

We recently hosted our son's rehearsal dinner here in Lynn's room at the restaurant. Worked with Debbie De Mondo, who made everything easy. The room looked wonderful and she was a big help as I had never hosted a rehearsal dinner before. Dinner was served family style and the relatives are still talking about the skirt steak & salmon we... More
