One of best burgers..."hands-down" it is juicy and is big enough for even the biggest appetite. There are no french fries..but if you must they do have chips. They don't take credit cards and have been serving it this way for generations. Although it is different owners from years ago...the... read more

This place is a very small family owned tavern. It has a rustic wood interior with with beer sign and sports decor and plenty of TV's. It's claim to fame is the great 1 lb burger. There are a few other things on the menu, but I've never made it past the burger. My husband and I split a burger... More

It is small and simple with great service and the best burgers anywhere. Staff makes you feel like you have been coming there for years. Again, nothing fancy, the burgers are huge and fresh made when ordered and taste just like it was done in your own kitchen. Very reasonable prices. A must stop after a round of golf at... More

If you are an old-time Lemonter, then you know that Nick's Tavern was owned by long-time Lemonters, The Novak's. Sadly, they sold it a few years back. The inside is exactly the same (except for the old cash register not being used anymore). The burgers are the same (at least to me they are). They are HUGE and succulent. I... More

Nick's came highly recommended by some contractors working in my house, and since they had the kitchen torn up, paid a visit to Nick's for a burger for dinner. Burger was excellent... one of the best I've had! Don't bother with the "Dog & Suds" root-beer, flat as flat can get and they tell me that they're all that way.... More

We have been going to Nick's for many years. Even though there are different owners, the burgers are still delicious. They have also expand the menu a little, and everything I've had has been good. Not a big place, so depending on when you go, not always easy to get a seat...but it's worth the wait.

I visited an old friend and his wife in LeMont in October of 2012 and they took me here. I ordered the cheeseburger and (much to their amazement AND amusement) ate the whole thing! This was quite a feat since these burgers are BIG, folks!!! No thin little fast food burgers here!!! Thick and meaty with great flavor is the... More

My Dad first took me to Nick's when I was 10 years old. I saw the burger and was like, wow, that's really a burger. Then I tasted it. Delicious. 25 years later, though my Dad is no longer with us, I still go to Nick's on a regular basis. You know what you're getting when you go to Nick's.... More
