Dining for 6, not one happy customer (dint even take the steaks home for the dogs, didn't want to offend them) . The catfish wash terrible undercooked and definitely not fresh, steaks overcooked and dry, and shrimp fried twice as long as it should have been. Rice was bland and overcooked, and the mashed potatoes or casserole were just as... More

Come down to the Dungeon and have really large meat. Not the best quality, but it is HUGE. The Burger is the size of a frying pan. Literally. Huge. Bring the family and pig out.

My family and I have been going to Al's since they opened and usually visit 4-6 times per year. Each time we visit the food is excellent and reasonably priced. During the winter their bar is a great place to enjoy a cocktail (they have a great selection of cocktails) with the center island gas fireplace keeping you cozy and... More

Friendly service with a cheerful waitress. Surroundings not bad for a basement restaurant. Food was average. We used a groupon with no issues. Probably won't be back though.

We went on a Tuesday evening and the place had a few working tables that evening. We were seated quickly and the staff was fine. We placed our our drink and appetizer order (the artichoke and spinach dip) right away and placed our dinner order as well. It was after this when things started to fall apart for this restaurant.... We went there for Mother's day 5/9/2014. My son called for reservations but they would not take them. We arrived at 5:30 and the place only had 7 tables filled but we still had to wait "no available tables". We checked in serveral times with the front and were told they were working on it but had to set people... More

I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at Al's. I had never been there before but went at the suggestion of my dining companion. Their steaks were delicious and comparable to ones I have had at Weber Grill and McCormick & Schmicks, but the place is much more casual and laid back. It's a unique space located downstairs. Has a... More

I eat at a Mexican place next door they must be owned by the same people. The Mexican place was called Casa Margarita. It was average at best.

We have been to Al's steakhouse many times and it has always been a special treat. The steaks are so large that you could easily split one between 2 people. The meat is cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. We especially like the rib eye steaks. The carrots that come with the meal are tender and sweet. They bring you... More

It's not fancy, but the steaks are big and cooked spot on. Beef is what's for dinner at Al's Char House. Don't expect nouvelle cuisine or deconstructed anything. What you get is what you see in the case by the hostess stand, beef. We went with friends who are meat and potatoes folk and they loved it. Expect to take... More
