We had lunch yesterday at Talulah. The fresh tomato bruschetta was delicious, and presented beautifully. My kingfish salad was light and tasty, whilst my mother had the sweet potato filled fresh field mushrooms which she enjoyed immensely. My sister's beet root tartlets were a little sweet however that is the only negative for the day. We finished with awesome coffees... More

My husband and I had a very nice lunch here, first time we had been and was pleasantly surprised. It was a busy restaurant/cafe but the staff were prompt taking our order and delivering drinks. My partner had the thai beef salad which he said was delicious and I had the pan seared barramundi, chips and salad with goats cheese,... More

Turned up last minute at about 8pm. my partner had the corn fritters with smoked trout, I ordered the vegetarian spiced eggplant, currants, fried haloumi, yogurt, quinoa dish...not sure what it was called. It came straight from the kitchen, steaming hot and tasted magnificent. Have avoided going out for dinner of late in Newcastle as I have always felt totally... More

I went to Talulah for dinner last Sunday. We were ushered to a table, handed the menus, and then told that "we have had a really busy weekend, so we only have three mains or tapas tonight." So, what did this mean? Scrutinising the menu, it meant no duck, no steak, no veal and no lamb! The mains on offer... More

When we first got there I did like the look of the place, first impressions were that it was a little different (not a bad thing). We got to order quickly which was a good start, drinks brought out etc. Didn't have to wait all that long and the Tapas started to come out although it does rile me up... More

I just wrote a detail review - but my network cut out and now it's gone! We came for dinner. Here's the summary: -great atmosphere, think little french Bistro (except bigger!) -entrees and mains all fantastic. really, really good. -entrees a bit on the large size - suggest reducing size and price -service efficient, friendly, unobtrusive -good wine list, mainly... Talulah is open 7 days for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can also just pop in for a coffee. My most recent visits have been for breakfast and lunch. The breakfast menu is extensive, ranging from simple breads and muesli, a range of bruschetta, and a large assortment of hot dishes. We usually have the vegetarian breakfast (eggs – poached,... More

My wife and I went here for dinner on a quiet Tuesday evening. There were no more than 25 people in the restaurant. Our meal took 45 minutes to arrive (we only had mains) . No explanation or reason was given for the delay. An apology was given with offer of dessert or drinks, neither of which we wanted. I... More
