Unique Italian find

We tried Barolo for a birthday dinner and we were not disappointed. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. The pasta was fantastic! I had a dish with chicken and asparagus meatballs which I've never seen any place else and it was wonderful. They have a pastry chef so the desserts are... read more

Service is great! There are rooms available for parties. The decor is lovely elegant Italian, lots of red, and LOTS of art on the walls. I really enjoyed my food, as did my party. Drinks available.

Wonderful decor but food was not quite as wonderful. I visited the restaurant with a large group that was handled nicely by staff. All three were friendly and our food was served together except for one dish. Unfortunately, everyone remarked that their entries were served cold. Steak was cold and not very tasty. One of the guests asked the waitress... More

Dear Grandma, Thank you for complimenting our gorgeous interior, at Barolo's we strive for perfection. We take a negative review very seriously, as it almost never happens. We would like to speak to you, we need more details, when exactly where you here, the name of your group, who was your server? We have no record of a pasta dish... More

I've been to Barolo a handful of times, and every time I go, I tell myself I should go more often. I've repeatedly had genuinely friendly and approachable waiters who were knowledgable and well-versed in the menu. The food is varied and very well-made. I highly recommend a visit!

I had the gnocchi and fell in love with it, as I did with everything I ate and experienced at this gem I was pleasantly surprised to find in Joliet. If I wish to go to a nice meal where I know I will be pleased I can see no other restaurant competing with this place in Joliet.

5 stars! Everything here is made from scratch, soups, salad, pasta, roasts, etc. Always unique and intriguing menu items as well as traditional cuisine. Celebrities like to dine here as well, it's a town staple, and the best upscale restaurant in Joliet. Quaint cute Italian decor, dim lighting, red curtains and wine bar. Lunch menu is cheap and phenomenal. GOOD... More

I've lived in Joliet 5 years, driven past numerous times and can't believe I've never come here. Everything was marvelous! The moment you walk in you know you are in your new favorite Italian restaurant. The ambiance tells you to expect high quality food, but what you don't expect is that it doesn't totally break the bank! The food was... More

I didn't to Barolo Ristorante now for lunch and dinner. Nice pleasant atmosphere for lunch (perfect for business) and swanky hip feel during dinner. A great addition to the downtown area. The food is solid and great deals to be had during Restaurant Week or Dine Out Seattle week.

The items on the regular menu are absolutely delicious....BUT the nightly specials of the executive chef are simply melt in your mouth over the top wonderful! We eat here regularly and are never disappointed. The staff is very welcoming and knowledgable the server Donna and the busser Fermie are great. I can't forget the dessert chef Erica....fantastic!
