Service impeccable....food meh

I can't say enough about the service. They were attentive and very informative. For the price, the food portions were large but underwhelming

Housed within the Westin Northwest Chicago, Shula's provides a typical steak house menu, well made cocktails, good beer menu and, of course, meat carefully prepared as ordered. The meat and sides are particularly noteworthy, better done here than at some other Shula's visited in past years. The staff at this Shula's are also particularly accommodating.

A nice location, we thought that the place would be a bit better. We both found the steaks to be a little above average. The service was very good, but the prices were a little too high for the steaks. For me, the high point was the lobster bisque soup. Very, very good. If you are in the immediate area,... More

Been to a few Shulas over the last few months, Houston last month, Chicago this month. They continue to UNamaze. And they are almost always empty, I think that tells the whole story, $$$$ prices but just slightly better than average food compared to Ruth's Chris or Capital Grill. Not sure how they stay in business.

I had been to a Shula's steak house before in New York so, I knew the quality should be great. The food continued to be excellent, however, the service was annoying and lacking. I felt it was a burden that the waiter had to come to our table and they tried to remove the food quickly and before we were... More

During a recent Conference held during lent, I had the chance to visit the Shula's Steakhouse in the Westin on a Friday Night. In years past, the conference that I attended did not have a lenten option at the buffet, so I have had to search out other options. I was able to find a table for two at 7... More

I used to be a big fan of Shula's. I keep traveling to Itasca and have always enjoyed the steaks at Shula's. But I cannot say the same for my last experience there this month. I stayed at Westin, Itasca where Shula's is located. Ordered a steak over phone for a take out as they said they no longer do... More

I went to Shula's in November, 2014, to celebrate my birthday. We had gone there and enjoyed it many times before. This time was a great disappointment. The waiter was rude and in attentive. The steak, Cowboy cut bone in ribeye, was tough and tasted awful. We had been to Eddie Merlot's a few weeks before and there was no... More

A good place to eat, expensive though, you won't mistake this place for Denny's in food quality or price. Not for kids unless you are celebrating or borderline 1%. I'm not a Miami Dolphin fan either.

First off, there is not much around in the way of fine dining. If you stay in Westin, you'll probably go to Shula's. During daytime, they serve outstanding salads, appetizers, and burgers in a lovely bar in the lobby. We only had such fresh and tender greens in France. At night, they open this pricey restaurant: a glass of wine... More
