Cuisines: Chinese
Description: A wonderful new Chinese Asian restaurant in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago In Hoffman Estates Il. It is a great Buffet style eatery with very fresh meats poultry and veggies and a great selection of Sushi as well as fruits and desserts. Its a higher quality buffet with much to offer for a very good price. The place was nicely decorated with a contemporary flavor. You can also choose your own ingredients and have it cooked while you wait mongolian style. A wonderful new find, not your typical generic chinese buffet.

Who says you cant get enough of a good thing. This is the place the quality and variety is outstanding. I normally do not care for buffets but I make an exception for Royal. The sushi alone is worth the cost but with so many options, all Asian influenced and all well prepared if you like Chinese food or sushi... More

I was there several times before and it was always good. On my recent visit I was there on a Thursday evening for dinner. There was no lobster on the menu. It was a weekday and it was not busy. The food just sat on the steam table. The food was COLD! Some of the fried squid, calamari was cold and... More

Nice sized Mongolian bbq station. The dim sum and sashimi is ok. If you are really looking for that - I would recommend a place that makes it on the spot for you. Large selection of mixed plates with meat, seafood and vegetables. Dessert is really kid friendly with ice cream, chocolate dipping fountain and cotton candy.

After working in the restaurant business for 15 years I consider myself as a food fanatic. I love buffets, good buffets, big buffets, wow buffets. Well, this is it. I have been to many oriental buffets and none of them beat this one so far (at least in Chicago area). They always have plenty of sushi, crab legs, lobsters, shrimp,... More

I've eaten here a few times and my experience has always been good. I personally love the hibachi here! I always tend to grab 2 or 3 plates! They do serve crab legs and whole lobsters on Fridays (maybe other days too but I don't know). I always get here around 5 p.m. so I rarely have to wait (if... More

We went on a Friday night to take advantage of their lobster and crab legs. Royal does the lobster only on Wednesday and Friday, of course it is more expensive, we paid $24 each without a drink. You get a whole lobster and we saw many that were at least two pounders. You line up to get the lobster and... More

• Can we say SIX STARS? How about TEN STARS??? I have eaten all over the world in Greece (Athens Hilton Seafood Buffet!), India (BUKHARA!), Boston (Anthony's Pier Four, San Francisco's Chinatown, the best barbeque restaurants, Sunday Brunch (and Seafood Extravaganza) at the RITZ CARLETON... Suffice it to say, I know good food. If I had my choice of restaurants... More

Asian Buffet usually means steam trays with your Chinese food basics - Beef with Broccoli, Sesame Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Egg Rolls... - and those basic dishes are at Royal, too. But Royal has a terrific variety that goes well beyond the usual Chinese Buffet. Salt and Pepper Squid was very good, and tender as was the Salt and Pepper Shrimp... More

I went to Royal for lunch today and paid $11.50 for the full buffet. This included Mongolian grill, sushi, fruits, soups, and numerous other Chinese items. There is very little dim sum, and what dim sum was there was not very good. The lunch price is quite a deal considering you are getting tons of food choices. However, the dinner... More

It's good food, lots of food and well organized buffet, price is reasonable, restaurant space looks clean, bathroom is clean. On the other hand, service is non-existent, servers don't care, food is dumped into trays producing low-value feel. We came here a few times, always at weekday lunch hours, which is about 60% of normal prices. We're told normal price... More
