I feel very lucky to have this as my neighborhood hang. This is a small family run place that recently opened a second location. A bit out of the way,and the new Wilmette location is probably more convenient for us. Golden dragon and red dragon are outstanding. Also had the sushi plate which while not cheap is well worth the coin. Best sushi I can recall in the area. Soup and edamame I would say are standard. Service very friendly and quick, though I had... One of the best sushi experiences of my life! Flaming avocado ball is great!!! Tamago (egg omelet sushi) is the best I've had! The cold sake came in a really cool bottle! Great times!

The people that work there are super nice and always greet you when you enter and say bye when you leave, last time I was there one of the waiters literally came outside (it was 20 degrees) and said bye and thanks for coming. The food there is super good and very reasonably priced. My sushi roll was one of... More

With all the choices for sushi in the area I have never been to this restaurant until last week. From the location I would not have stopped there if not for the reviews on tripadvisor. I am glad I did! The service was fantastic. The presentation was great food was good. I will have to return before I rave about... More

This was my first visit, and I will definitely return! The food and service were superb. We had Gyoza appetizer, and they were piping hot with a delicious dipping sauce. For the meal, we had sashimi platters, the octopus-tuna roll, and the avocado torch roll. The sashimi platters come with miso soup and rice and were presented beautifully, and I... More

I've been going to this restaurant for years, and with their recent expansion I was a little thrown off as I missed the little whole in the wall that I grew to love. The food was exactly the same, and the wonderful owner/ manager Gracie is still the backbone of the operation. We left the other night with one new... More

I visited Koya for the first time the other day and was pleasant surprised by my experience. Due to its location, I never knew that Koya was so close to where I live (its hidden from view by road). I had the Bento box with the salmon for $11, which was definitely worth the price! The salmon was full of... More

Wonderful food, creative selection / combos for sushi and sashimi, includes great miso soup, and mochi for dessert. Service is attentive without being a pest, and its rather cozy.
