Interesting menu and well prepared food with great wine pairings. Friendly and energetic atmosphere.

This is a really great north shore restaurant. You can tell that the chef who i believe is also the owner is very involved. Get there early as it isn't really large, and I'm not the only person that has picked up on how great this place is.

In the heart of the north shore in Ravinia neighborhood. Former storefront in beautiful forested neighborhood near Ravinia music festival grounds. Fabulous changing menu. Intimate dining. Elegant yet casual

We saw the restaurant on Check Please and in the past have had a bad track record with the restaurants they show as almost always they fail to deliver. When we saw Abigail's we had mixed thoughts but felt we're always looking for a local restaurant so let's give it a try. Glad we did. As they only take reservation... More

If you are a sticky toffee pudding person, Abigail's is a must. Their version was as good as the very best I had in London last month, and, with the sour cream ice cream that accompanied it, London chefs could learn a thing or two from Abigail's kitchen. I also ordered the roasted beets and Korean pancake and savored them... More

It was a fixed price set menu for New Years Eve beginning with roasted delicatetta squash, and then the following: smoked salmon parfait, cauliflower bisque, potato gnocchi (particularly grand), abigail's surf' n turf (short rib and lobster tail combo) and ending with meyer lemon tart in a chocolate creme chiboust. To say it was all great is an understatement. It was... More

As we unexpectedly had some time to kill in Highland Park, we decided to head over to Abigail's after reading good reviews online. We arrived quite early (5.30pm) and were given a lovely seat near the window. A waiter very efficiently took our drinks order and then brought over complimentary cheese biscuits (one of my favourite American treats!). We both... More

Food is very good. Daily specials are always interesting.. Restaurant is quite small. Reservations generally necessary at both lunch and dinner. My only complaint would be it can be very difficult to get a table.

Tried this place on a recommendation from a friend and happened to get in without reservations just ahead of the dinner rush. Corner location is accessible but small inside (however nicely decorated contemporary and chic). Small full-bar area amongst cozy/crowded booth/table seating. Starts out with the freshest made-to-order dinner bread/biscuits with cheddar cheese served warm - outstanding. Appetizer of Korean... More

Thank you to your friend for the recommendation. The vesuvio actually left the menu for a bit and had to come back due to guest requests - glad to hear there is another fan! We appreciate your feedback and hope to see you and your wife again soon. More

Abigail's does everything right. Lots of great choices to share. I recommend dining with two or three friends to give you the opportunity to sample as many menu items as possible. Save room for dessert. You can thank me later.
