We had the Mackie Special. Better get the 16" if you want to get plenty because the crust is so thin. And there were two of us. One con is there isn't any beer on the menu.

If you've ever had Mackie's pizza, you will never forget it. AND you will want more. I even purchase them for Christmas gifts for family members that have moved away from Harrisburg. Thin crust, thick crust, bread sticks, salads, everything is good here. The sandwiches are pretty good, too. Something for everyone.

Mackie's has been a Southern Illinois tradition since 1972. Mackie's is a great choice whether you are in the mood for a thin, crispy crust or a deep dish! I recommend the Mackie's Delight without mushrooms in the thick crust. Order a large, because you will want a box for the leftovers! Don't miss out, try it on your next... More

It's a hometown favorite place to eat. The food is great. Occasionally, the service is slow. The Harrisburg special is wonderful.

Mackies is very well know for their amazing thin crust pizza and there is good reason. However one of their best kept secrets are their thick crust and bread sticks. You just can't go wrong eating at Mackies!

Mackie's Pizza- a Harrisburg institution! And, not only is it fantastic, but the customer service from John is always incredible. My husband came back to visit his family, and said he had to have a Mackie's pizza. I contacted John, and he had a welcome sign out front for Kevin! What a wonderful thing. Thank you so much for so... More

I'm really more of a deep dish fan, but when it comes to thin crust, Mackie's is good. At the Harrisburg location, you order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. The pizza crust is thin and airy, almost cracker like. Toppings are a bit sparse, but with such a thin crust, too many toppings would... More

We met with family from Evansville, Ind. I had read that their thin crust pizza was very good. The thin crust was good. They just didn't put much topping on it. If we hadn't asked for double sausage on our sausage pizza, we would have had to hunt for the sausage. As it was, the sausage was few and far... More

We don't go to Mackies as often as we would like because we can't afford to because the prices are a bit steeper than other local pizza places but it is definitely worth it when we do. Mackies is always a treat. Our favorite is the Harrisburg special.

Mackie's Pizza was recommended to us by the proprietor at the Lafayette Inn, so we decided to give it a try. They're open until 10:00 on Friday night, something we consider a plus arriving into town after 9:00. It's definitely a no-frills establishment, but the prices are fair and the pizza was good. It's not gourmet, but it is unique... More
