Healthy Fresh and Tasty

The food is great! I love the chicken kabob platter (or steak) as it comes with many choices of sides. I get the hummus and cabbage salad and rice. Sometimes I go with the house salad and baba ghanouj and potatoes--so many options. When I need to bring an appetizer somewhere I pick up a few... read more

Food is good, inexpensive but the place is not appealing to stay and eat inside. We took food home a few times.

Being the good nice white American boy that I am, my exposure to Middle Eastern food has been limited. Once you get past the stuffed grape leaves and baklava, I am pretty lost. But being in a band with a couple of Armenian chaps, I was intrigued with this establishment. One day I will try it out; yesterday was the... More

Agree with previous reviewers. The food is great, you can actually taste the freshness nd quality. You get a very generous portion of meat with a side, plus salad and appetizer - all for ~7.50 or so. I have not seen such a bargain anywhere else. The place is very small and does not look fancy - just a few... More

We did not know what to expect especially as we invited friends for a lunch at this small restaurant. Inside, there are a few tables to sit. The owner was very friendly and took time to explain the lunch special for 5 dollars and/or the choices you have with a platter. We all went with either the platter or lunch... More

This is basically a fast food restaurant that serves healthy, authentic, Armenian dishes. The menu is posted on the wall behind the counter. After trying to figure out how it all works, you place your order with the assembler. If you can't figure it out (not uncommon), just ask and you will be guided through the process. The two main choices... More

This little hole-in-the-wall just off Waukegan Road turns out great food at a great price. The concept is pretty simple: Select the type of kebab you want (chicken, steak, lula -- a seasoned ground beef, etc.), pick from several pilaf options, choose a salad and a side (baba ganouj, hummus) and wait just a few minutes while your kabobs are... This small, hidden gem is worth discovering. Fresh, authentic ingredients are cooked to your order. The beef, chicken, or pork kababs are tender. The hummus and mushroom rice are delectable. A small salad comes with every entree. And all for about $9!! Eat in or carry out. The best Armenian food I've ever had (and I've been to Armenia)!

Chicken kabobs and hummus were very good. The menu is simple and easy to order. Nothing fancy, just good food. I'll be back

Ordered the combo plates and tried both pilafs and salads. The appetizers were yummy. Even our 3 yr old and 5 yr old devoured everything
