Went there several times, but was never overly impressed. Service was never great, acoustics were terrible and the prices just too high. Great location, cute concept, but just didn't know how to execute it. Tried to be too citified for suburban Glen Ellyn. Not surprised they closed Dec. 2013.

Came in for breakfast at about 9:30 A.M...only three other tables were occupied. After being seated, we waited almost ten minutes for our server to appear. Coffees were ordered and it was almost another ten minutes before it was served. We ordered our meals and waited again. When the food arrived (eggs, pancakes, etc.) it was ice cold. Very disappointing.

I went here last week with a coworker thinking it would be a nice, sort of quick lunch spot since we work nearby. We sat and got our orders taken quickly but then waited 30 minutes and no return of our waitress. Finally we flagged her down, she claimed a power surge happened and our orders were lost. She was... Let me preface this by saying we tried to have breakfast here months ago and walked out after being seated for about 20 minutes and having the worst service we ever experienced. We chalked that up to a bad waitress having a really bad day and decided to give the place another shot. This time we actually got to have... More

Honey Cafe, at the edge of Glen Ellyn's downtown is an eclectic, innovative dining experience. The service was excellent and the food was unique and incredibly good. The only MINOR downside is the hollow, and somewhat loud, dining space. They would do good to get some sound baffling material on the walls, etc.

The menu is creative and ecclectic at the same time. The food is second to none. The menu and specials are always changing to keep things interesting. The steak sandwich is to die for. The grilled cheese is not like your mama made.

We go for all meals but breakfast and dessert is my favorite. I believe my wife and child like lunch/dinner the best. You really can't go wrong with this place. Order anything and you will likely enjoy it. There numerous food allergy options as well.

Had breakfast here this morning, and it was ok I guess. I had their "Almond Joy Latte" which was fantastic. I don't usually order fancy espresso drinks but I'm glad I did and will definitely be back for another cup. Their baked goods are also really good (my mom loved the blueberry muffin). For breakfast, I had the pancakes with... More

I lived in Glen Ellyn for a year just over two blocks from Honey. It was fantastic to be so close and I ended up eating there about once a week or once every other week. They serve as much local and organic as they can and offer vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free items. The cafe itself is located in... More

After reading so many great reviews, I seriously was expecting more from this place and was disappointed. I live out in Chicago and was visiting my parents and decided to take them out to brunch at 1pm two Sundays ago. Place isn't even half full. I don't know how many servers looked at us walked past us and said they... More
