Preservation NEVER disappoints!

My husband and I eat here at least twice per month and we love love love it. The food is unbelievably good and can stand alongside some great downtown chicago restaurants. After searching for a new and tempting restaurant between Sycamore and Aurora where we were headed for a David Sedaris' concert, I discovered Preservation Bread & Wine in Geneva online. Although I'm sure I passed it many times during the last 5 years of their existence on my way to the Spice Shop next door, somehow, it failed to appear... More

In town for a training and went to dinner with some of my "classmates" and this was an excellent find! My title says it all. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and we had a delicious tapas style meal. My only complaint would be the noise level, but it's a small restaurant with chatty people, can't fault them for that. Eat... More

Those bi-monthly wine dinners that the restaurant has used to be my favorite meal of the month. Lately they have been uninspired and unimaginative. They must have lost their chef because I haven't seen him in awhile. The brunch had a piece of french toast? This is supposed to be cutting edge? I hope they work on improving these because... More

Second visit and food was as good as the first. Everyone at the table very pleased with their sandwiches and appetizers. Owner visits the table and checks on your satisfaction. Really hard to find food of this quality in the burbs.

Eat here for the second time and recieved a hearty welcome back from the service team. Food was good, served in a sort of small dish mode ideal for sharing. Highlights were the Spanish olives and the Mushroom pie. Good wine list. We has some Copertino. The second bottle wasnt quite to our taste and was replaced without hesitation. Good... More

Again another visit and another winning lunch .The flatbreads on Wednesday are great as are all the othe menu choices .Staff are great and when asked will provide parings to wine .Ownership continues to import wines you have never heard of but are well worth the adventure .Great to see this restaurant at the # 1 listing right where it... After reading the reviews, I decided to try this place. We arrived at around 4pm and when we walked in, there were only two tables being occupied. The man at the door with a chef shirt on, said, "do you have reservations?" "No" I replied and he then walked to a table put the menus on it, and walked away.... More

For the wonderful price of $10 you can get a sandwich and soup or salad for lunch! My boyfriend and I got the grilled cheese and we kept going back and fourth trying to decide which was better, the bread or the cheese. This food is the kind of food that makes you say "mmm" out loud.
