Excellent fresh food

This is a small restaurant with a somewhat different than normal menu. Everything i have tried is very good, especially the salads and entrees. The grilled cheese on brioche is a little heavy so be prepared for that.

My husband and I were heading to the Kane Co Flea Market and decided to have lunch in Geneva instead of eating corn dogs and cheese curds at the fairgrounds. What a good choice that was! We found Preservation on Yelp, and it was the perfect lunch spot. We got there right when they opened and were seated on the... More

Very nice spot to go with someone special. Very intimate setting but not loud. Food was very good and the wine list was extensive. The service was good and the wait staff was very helpful. This is a great spot on historic Third Street in Geneva close to the Metra stop.

We are spending the summer "eating through the Fox Valley", and the town of Geneva is one of our favorite choices for outdoor dining. This restaurant has both an outdoor patio (small, about 4 tables) and an indoor protected dining area. We chose the patio, as it was a perfect spring night. The cocktail I had was strong (limoncello, dark... More

Went for dinner. The waiter brought one of two drinks then ignored us. On paying for the one drink to leave to find another eatery the manager's attitude was verging on hostile. These people need to learn to treat their patrons better.

I don't know what they do to pickle there beets but OMG! They were absolutely delicious. And the surprises didn't end there. Pickled watermelon rind... Yeah, I know, but this also was absolutely fantastic. Brioche grilled cheese, to die for. Cheese and charcuterie were also very good. And the service was very warm and attentive. Next time we're in Geneva,... More

This is an excellent wine bar with great, Tapas style, food and an excellent, very well priced, diverse wine list. Great and knowledgeable service. The patio is wonderful. A great location for lunch and looking forward to having dinner!

Wonderful one of a kind sandwiches such as lamb meatloaf standout here, but the choice of cheeses that you can order as a plate, or to accompany a sandwich are amazing, as are their breads and salads. The shaved asparagus salad with parmesan and shallot vinaigrette is delightful. A good wine list rounds out it all. Love the wonderful service... More

I was in Geneva for a week on business and my colleague brought me here for dinner. It must have been 1 of my best sandwiches. Just decent sandwiches presented on a heavy plate. If you are very hungry, I will suggest ordering a side too. The portion isnt big but good enough for a small dinner. Of course this... More

Was excited to visit after seeing positive reviews however I was really wish they would just source some kind of GF bread I mean if the name of your place has bread in it and you call and they tell you they have some options available you would presume they would have GF bread! It's not that hard to go... More
