Don't let the architecture fool you. Located in a nondescript building on a busy street, Bien Trucha is an incredibly upscale restaurant with a remarkable menu. Nominally a Mexican Restaurant, this one defies pigeon-holing. Absolutely everything that we tried was spectacular! Appetizers sound very mundane - Ceviche and a Guacamole dish. These were anything but mundane. For entrees, we focused... More

I went to Bien Trucha with a few friends and we had an great experience. The space is very small which I think provides a nice intimate ambiance. There were 4 of us and of course we started out with margarita's. All were craft style and freshly made with no mixes! I had the Don Lujo which is their modern... More

With friends went out for Dinner. Nice atmosphere in downtown Geneva. Clientele was mixed, young, middle aged and older crowd. It was very busy but expected as much for a Saturday night. The energy was good but not overly revved up so felt comfortable right a way. There was a wait, so went into the bar area which was a... More

ok for a one time meal..overpriced, small portions, you cant really have your "own" dish as they only bring out one thing at a time, and whisk your plate away while food still in hand...more than likely wont return

The tacos are great and the margarita's good. However, guessing whether they have a table for you and then paying $80 for three tacos each and a couple of drinks seems a little heavy. I am not convinced that the gourmet Mexican tacos are worth that. It also seems to be trying too hard to be a Chicago downtown restaurant... More

Bien Trucha is owned by the original owner of the once delightful Tia Maria's on the East side of Geneva. I first visited Bien Trucha shortly after it opened and was just a kitschy "hole-in-the-wall" with several small tables; I was in love at first bite! The restaurant has since been updated to a swanky establishment that makes you feel... More

The food is incredible. The margaritas fantastic. The menu is eclectic and fresh. Most items served tapas style to share. Restaurant is very popular and always crowded. They do not take reservations. Try to visit at an off-peak time or be prepared for a wait... But well worth the wait.

Starting off we wanted to give a little background on where we came from to get to this place... It's 45 mins by car and 10 mins by jet (which we don't have). We were awaiting an excellent experience at a "fine dining" Mexican restaurant. We did not get that. We came on a weekday after our friends made a... More

We went to Bien Trucha for the first time last night. We knew it was very popular and didn't know what to expect knowing it was very small. They are taking reservations online for their "second" building which is on the other side of their patio -- which sits in between the original bldg. and the second bldg. Both buildings... More
