Good food, good service

Went there on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. Wife had a chicken / noodle combination, son had a hamburger and I had the meatloaf with peppercorn sauce. Food was good. I also had the hot chocolate with their homemade whipped cream. So good. I agree, the bathrooms need attention, but the rest... read more

Worst food in a restaurant we have ever had. Long strand of hairs in the potatoes and all of the food was cold. Roast beef on charged ends was so rare there is no way the meat was cooked to temperature. The desserts small individual pies and cakes were either liquidy or falling apart. The hot fudge was like brown... More

This place use to be good, but within the last couple of years it has gone down hill. I took my boyfriend here and this was his first time at this restaurant. He's a chef and really picky about Irish food. I assured him this place is good, and I turned out looking dumb at the end. We were put... More

We were there at dinnertime and yes, it was a Tuesday night, but no one was in the place! Maybe 6 people total--which should have told us something! Server was pleasant, but never came back to ask if we wanted another drink! My husband had the corned beef and cabbage, tasty, but very small portion and I had the fish... More

Friendly atmosphere and good service in a relaxed atmosphere. Fish and chips are quite good and are offered in two different portion sizes. Corned beef and beef stew are other favorites. Have eaten at Clauddagh for lunch and dinner, with various sized groups, as well as indoors by the fire or out on the patio overlooking the water. Food and... More

Food is just not good. Inside, the bathrooms and bar area seem like they are falling apart. The servers seem disinterested in helping really anyone. There is a good sized bar in the restaurant and a variety of beers and cocktails. Yet, the place is pretty dark inside and feels like a cave. Just overall, not a great experience.

The atmosphere and food are Irish. We had a pleasant experience. Our waiter, Mike, was awesome. The food was very good, also. Some of us had chicken and my dad had corned beef. The portions are good sized at a good price point. It's fun and the music is good!

Now I know what an Irish pub is supposed to be having lived in Ireland and this is an Americanized version. However, that's not necessarily a bad thing. I've eaten here several times for lunch and dinner and the atmosphere is pleasant and the food good. I especially enjoyed the appetizer of pretzels served with cheese dipping sauce. My husband... Firstly who are these people posting on here who equate pace with quality? Seriously if you can't wait 20 minutes for food then go to Maccy D's or something. So uncultured! Service Great. Called on spec and got shown to a great outside table. Friendly server. Drink choice Pretty good. Pear cider served nicely chilled. Food Good basic menu with... More

This place has decent menu and beer selection. Beer for the more premium brands was quite reasonably priced, and food was pretty good too. Service was OK. The place has a nice decor, though wasn't very crowded when I was there, on a Friday evening. Just a few other people at the bar then. Bar didn't have many TVs, which... More
