Food and beverage was excellent with friendly wait staff. Very relaxing place to eat. We both got German entrees which seemed appropriate with the German settlers in the region.

As the name implies: a menu of French and German selections. There were 8 of us so we had a good cross section of the menu. Several of my companions had salmon with a ligonberry sauce and said it was quite good. One person had steak and said it was cooked to perfection. I ordered the mussels which seemed to... More

Just like the name implies, the food choices include German & French. We were directed here to find good soup and we happily discovered much more! The cocktails were yummy. The appetizer pate was beyond great. The soup was as good as advertised. The entrées were excellent. Unfortunately we did not have room for desert. We must return! Our server... More

The atmosphere was very European. Low lights, no ice, the seating...everything. We had a very relaxing lunch. I had escargot, monsieur crepe with a salad and dressing to die for. My husband had a one time only roast beef sandwich. Our meals were delicious. The service was great and we were there at about 2pm so the place was a... More

Our experience here was terrible. The service is very slow and we had two entrees with well done steak when we ordered medium rare steaks. How do you cook steak to well done when it's been ordered to medium rare? Stay away.

We went to have some German or Alsatian fare. They have a very good selection of European beer and wine but I was disappointed that their German wine selection was sparse. My wife started with the escargot which came warm but not hot and not as tasty as you might think. My mushroom soup was good and served warm. Her... More

Charming and unpretentious and DELICIOUS. A mixture of French and German cuisine; my daughters binged on mussels in a champagne/cream sauce, with fresh, warm french bread on the side. I enjoyed salmon over tender green beans and we all savored the frites. They have a vast beer selection (just cruise along the walls to see what they have available) and... More

We stopped here for a late lunch/early supper. I had steak frites, a delicious, perfectly cooked flat iron steak dressed with herb butter and accompanied what can only be described as a mountain of thinly sliced fries. My wife had split pea soup made with sausage rather than the usual ham. She loved it.

The salmon was delicious...moist and flavorful. We ordered frites as an appetizer and then my husband's steak came with a "mound" of them as well! Steak was so-so. A little overpriced for what you get. Need to ask for split check or server may not think to do that.

Very nice dining for German as well as French and other food! Try the schnitzel! The food and service was very good! Many beers to choose from!
