My husband and I have come here twice for special Anniversary dinner's and Perry Street does not disappoint. Service can be a bit slow even with the small dining room but then, whats the rush? We didn't order an appetizer as the meal comes with a soup or salad choice as well as a delicious basket of bread with olive... More

My boyfriend and I had read the reviews and decided to dine here to celebrate his birthday during a recent trip to Galena. I had read the food was outstanding, but I wasn't sure what to expect of the ambience. However, I was extremely pleased. It was cozy and charming and very romantic. As someone else noted, the place has... More

We had an older gentleman for our waiter and it seemed that he must have been brand new, not only to serving, but to this establishment as he had a plethora of notes that he referred to constantly and rather clumsily. He was cute in a way, but not the kind of professional waiter that belongs in a place like... More

My husband and I have dined here three times and ordered different menu items each time. We have never been disappointed. The food is delicious. Dessert was so good that I had to keep my husband from licking the plate!

This is a small bistro that is elegant and comforting. It's expensive but so very worth it. The chef/owner takes great pride in his creations. The oysters and the crab cakes are great appetizers. Their signature St. Lucian is incredible - lobster tail, shrimp and scallops. The tenderloin steak is outstanding and the swordfish with crab legs are delectable. The... More

I was so excited to go here after reading the reviews, but was disappointed when we left. We were greeted by Matthew when we arrived. He was polite and friendly, but when I asked how he was, he replied, "Actually, not very well. I am really sick and was hoping that the Dr. would say I was contagious, but he... More

We very much enjoyed our time at the Brasserie. The staff deserves first notice here due to their friendliness and top notch service. From our waiter Robert, to Matthew the owners son (who we shared a lot of common likes) and the water/dessert lady Jackie who knew her stuff, the evening was perfect. The food was outstanding, stating with the... More

Our hosts Steve and Matthew have taken food in Galena to a whole different level. This is an intensely personal experience created by two people who love food and want you to love it as much. And they completely and nearly perfectly succeed in doing this. We have been going to Galena for several years and while there are several... More

Wow.. This place greatly exceeded our expectations. Everything we ate and drank here was amazing. The service was all-around excellent and the environment nice and relaxed. It was a few months since we ate here and I can't even remember everything I had but it was all fabulous and the rest of my party agreed. If you're looking for some... More
