Amazing food!

This is one of the best restaurants we have ever been to. The food was simply delicious. From the salad to dessert everything was amazing. You need reservations and the place is not cheap; however it is worth the money you will spend. Don't wait to try this place, our waitress said the owner... read more

I had a great evening...excellent value ]especially versus Chicago], quality ingredients, perfect service and delicious food! The menu is well-curated to present a concise selection of meat, poultry, fish and a vegetarian option. Located just off Main street in Galena with plenty of free parking.

Good, not great food, and bizarre decor. This is a good restaurant with some charm that would be great at a much lower price point. Salad and dressing had emerged from a long stay pre-made in a fridge, as had dessert. Entrees were pretty pretty good, but not 35 bucks worth of good. Better luck can be had at other... More

It was a spectacular meal. The steak was done perfectly, and my husband's seafood dish which was a special that night was superb. The only think I would change is for them to bring more bread to the table! A little stingy on that, but would definitely go there again!

Even though we've been to Galena before, this is the first time we went here on a recommendation from our innkeepers at the Farmers Guest House. The mussels appetizer was amazing. My husband does not like mussels, but he liked these. I had the lobster, shrimp, and scallops St. Lucia which was perfect. My husband had the tenderloin was very... More

Quite likely the best restaurant in Galena. With a renown chef and an intimate setting, the meal was very enjoyable. I loved my main course dish, a special of the evening: veal with foie gras, Mediterranean rice and veggies. Appetizer of crab cakes was delicious. We were too stuffed for dessert but took it home for later and were very... More

This was a smaller than expected establishment, I am glad we booked ahead as two sets of people were turned away while we dined. We were seated near the door and across for the bar. I watched the staff quietly work together to get orders out and fix drinks in the minuscule workspace. I had the duck breast with sausage;... More

Chef-owner, Steve Dowe puts his personal touch on all facets of this outstanding dining experience. The presentation of our choices had his signature touch. The salmon was a favorite of one of our friends. "Best margarita ever", said another. Don't miss this exceptional Galena experience.
