This little cafe with a chicken theme is a delightful place for breakfast. Smiling waitresses, good coffee and small bowl of fruit greet you. Omelets are mega 5 eggs with fresh ingredients, crispy hash browns and cute little pancakes. Large portions so chances are unless you have a big appetite, you can share or take a doggy bag home.

Husband and I ate a wonderful breakfast here. I ordered the Swedish Strawberry Blintzes and they were absolutely delish! Fresh strawberries and sour cream wrapped in buttery blintzes, not overly sweet (the way I like it). I held myself back from eating all three at once. My hubby ordered their french toast which he raved about. Coffee was average but... More

I was here alone on a Thursday morning around 9 am. Although only half the tables were taken I figured I'd just grab a spot at the counter since I was by myself. I sat at the counter trying to check my emails while waiting for service. I waited. I found I had no cell reception because of the diner's... More

Had the spicy chorizo skillet. It was great but the pancakes with it were nothing special - I would probably head towards toast next time.

The omlettes are to die for! Quaint and homey, with wonderful service. Will go back for sure! Comlimentary surprises, too! Golden Hen even won over my picky husband!

Homey atmosphere - large portions - great variety - good service. What more can you ask for from a breakfast and lunch place. Oh and it is located right downtown.

The restaurant needs to invest in a Panini Press that makes a proper toasted Panini. The breakfast panini came on a soft piece of ciabatta or foccacia.

My wife and I had breakfast the morning we were leaving Galena. The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly, as was the bacon and hashbrowns. We had a window seat and watched the tourists stroll by. Very pleasant experience and really nice people own the restaurant.

Our waitress was very friendly and helpful with the area. The food is great, with helpings big enough for 2 or more to share.

This little corner cafe is only open for breakfast and lunch, but they serve breakfast all day and that must be their specialty. We came for a quick lunch and it was just okay - nothing special. It's cheap and the waitress was very friendly and attentive, but the "charbroiled Angus burgers" were basically just preformed patties grilled on a... More
