To be honest, all my wife and I have had is their bread pudding (and a couple drinks)...ON THREE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS in one year! Yes, it is that good. We have referred a number of others and they too feel Embe has the very best bread pudding they have ever tasted. If you don't know what about bread pudding, just... More

What a great experience. From the time we walked in a were greeted by Charlie, to the time we left it was a great experience! The beer selection is amazing, the drink selection is great (and reasonable), the food is out of this world...all gluten free. The bread pudding, if you do not try this there is no hope for... More

This is a great place for lunch. The sandwiches and soups are excellent. I've had the DAVE and the CARYN. Both excellent sandwiches. The soups are always good. I had the pastrami chowder soup. It was very tasty! The sandwich with the chips and a nice ice tea or adult beverage make for a nice lunchtime meal.

Ok, I admit it: I have a weakness for bread pudding. So, when we walked by Embe and saw a sign showing that they had a lunch special which included bread pudding, I was definitely interested. However, even though the bread pudding is excellent, make sure that you have room for a sandwich and some soup. My husband and I... More

The soup and sandwiches were very good. We all enjoyed our lunch, however their prices are extremely high. My wife had the 1/2 sandwich with soup special, I had a full sandwich and we each had tea for $32 including tip.

After a huge breakfast at our B and B, we really didn't feel like lunch, but the sign here for bread pudding caught our eye and it was delicious! The owner was very friendly and shared her thoughts about the history of the town as well as shops we should see while there! Good beer too!

Small dark and Formica topped tables. Small but nice bar. Good location on Main drag with good hours.

We had lunch here on a Saturday that was Country Fair weekend. We stopped in a little before noon and were seated immediately. Service was friendly and fast. Our drinks were never dry. The food was very good and our waitress's recommendations were spot on. It was nice to find a place that specialized in something other than burgers! Some... More

Arrived for lunch on Labor Day, as the lunch crowd was winding down. Had good sandwiches served with pickle and slaw. Interesting was that sandwiches had two sizes; regular and sensible. Sensible was just the size I wanted. We had one of each, with drinks, iced tea, I think, and the bill with tip was around $20.00

Been going to Galena for 25 years. Not sure when Embe opened, but I think it's pretty new. Stopped in for lunch before leaving town and was pleasantly surprised. The service was exceptional. Our table was cleared and sodas refilled, food came quickly. Staff was pleasant - even offered us bottles of water to take with us as we were... More
