The best place for breakfast for miles around Galena

What a great find. We went here based on the many positive online reviews and we were not disappointed. We normally like to mix it up when in a new town, but given our great experience here on Saturday, we returned here on Sunday as well. The food was great (I got an omelette and a side of banana... read more

On a rare occasion, we visit a restaurant while on a rambling road trip that almost makes one want to up and sell the farm and move to that locale where a restaurant can be accessed (ha!) This was THAT kinda place! Otto's Place. Directly across the street from the old train station that Ulysses S. Grant left from to... More

First off, need to warn people, they don't serve lunch Saturday and Sunda, only breakfast. I was disappointed as I was hoping for lunch food, however that being said, the food was awesome! I had the breakfast tacos. They were delicious as were the side of potatoes. My husband loved his bacon stuffed pancake with egg on top.

My wife and I were thrilled that we did not have to wait to take advantage of our Saturday night reservation. The service was the best and most attentive we have known, but the limited menu and high prices were a bit off putting. A meal and the atmosphere must be perfect for me to spend nearly $100 for just... More

We are thrilled that you enjoyed our atmosphere and service. We make every attempt to provide the best service possible. Regarding your comments on the limited menu; we serve dinner on Friday and Saturday nights. We prepare 4 appetizers and 5 entrees. This enables us to provide the freshest made to order meals possible. We also find that since most... More

This restaurant focuses on Breakfast and Lunch. We were there for breakfast on Sunday. The food was very good and the portions were plentiful, the prices very good. I had a western omelet which took up half of my plate and came with a bowl of fresh fruit and an English muffin, all for under $8. I don't know how... More

Ottos is the place to go on Sunday mornings after church. I like to go upstairs and enjoy the casual seating. Ottos is on the east side of the river which makes it away from the historic hustle and bustle are of downtown Galena. Plenty of parking. It is next to the historic railroad station. The food is delicious , the... More

After a busy week we needed a break and dinner at Otto's was perfect. We sat upstairs to enjoy the snow covered views, enjoyed a lovely cocktail and told the server we were in no hurry. One of the owners, came and visited with us for a bit which helped us relax along with the lovely furnishings and local art.... More

We have a lake home near Galena, so are eating in town nearly every weekend. We have eaten in about 98% of the establishments here, sometimes several times over, so feel very qualified to say that, in a town where most restaurants are mediocre at best, Otto's is a true gem. The food is fresh and absolutely delicious, the service... More
