We just visited this past Saturday night. Everybody in town knows to go to Otto’s for breakfast and lunch…..As locals, we usually stay away from the tourist crowds on the weekends, but when we have out of town guests, the only place we go for dinner is Otto’s. Our friend is from the Chicago area and commented that his chicken... More

Our second visit to Otto's was as good as the first. It has become our breakfast stop before returning home! I think its time to try lunch or dinner! Very friendly staff!

Wife and I visited for our 29th anniversary for breakfast based on past reviews. You can take those reviews to the bank. The restaurant was cozy, comfortable and welcoming. We dined upstairs (which I would recommend) and had a delicious breakfast. Wife had a gorganzola based omellete from the daily special menu and I had the quiche special. Both were... More

Visited Otto's Place on a Monday morning for breakfast. I liked that it was away from the main drag in Galena. It is a cute little restaurant with great history, story was printed out and on the table. Our waitress was very kind. Staff recognized locals when the walked in and greeted them, something I love to see. We started... More

Went to the visitors center across the street and decided to have lunch. They had a great Sunday brunch. I had quiche , coffee cake and a Bloody Mary. $20 for two of us. They have a busy Sunday business and felt a bit cramped . Once people started to leave it felt roomy. Would stop here again.

We have enjoyed dining at Otto's Place on several occasions and have always been very pleased! The atmosphere is relaxing and cozy and the food is tremendous! We have visited during breakfast, lunch and dinner and would highly recommend it! The servers at Otto's are attentive, and John is always ready with a smile. When seated downstairs, it is awesome... We looked over the reviews here on TA and took a chance on Otto's Place. Leaving the tourists across the river we stopped here, just below Grant's House, next to the train station. In a word, "Wow!" No kidding, the best meal I've had since Auberge John Steele in Ste Mere Eglise, Normandy, France. The bacon wrapped pork loin with... More

Service was fantastic (there when we needed it, invisible when we didn't) and ambiance was great. Food was fine but not terribly imaginative; menu descriptions were missing some details that mattered to members of our party.

We stopped here for dinner and everything was amazing! They make a great sangria, too! Nice friendly atmosphere, delicious meal, and a very non-touristy vibe. Definitely book a reservation here for dinner!
