We really tried to like this place...

This little restaurant is run by women who are very empathetic to needy causes in town and around the area. They regularly donate portions of the profits for various charities or participate in fundraisers. So, since moving to the area in 2009, we have gone here perhaps 5-6 times, hoping it would... read more

Tourists party of 7; 4 adults, 3 kids... Decided to try this restaurant after reading reviews on trip advisor. This is where you go if you are game for an adventure OR you are a local. This place is retro-fun! The location in itself is an adventure. A small door in the middle if Downtown Galena with stairway to...an adventure.... More

Viewed the menu online and thought we would check the place out. The place definitely has character and many items on the menu. I ordered the all you can eat fish/chicken Friday night special for 13 dollars (excellent price). It came with a salad, crackers with liver pate, and choice of potato. All were good, especially the pate. I had... More

This restaurant has one of the most interesting and innovative menus I have ever seen. The tuna was delicious and I can't wait to go back and try more of their fine fare.

This place is under new ownership, we always thought of it as a "blue hair" establishment (husband's phrase), but it is not. The food is very good and the atmosphere is very nice. Many gluten free menu items. The back room is cool with the exposed Iowa stone wall.

I will not belabor my husband's experience as (I hope) he has submitted his own review, but it was the worst food we've had in years. I will comment though, on the hilarious piece of--what?--Texas toast?--that was placed on his $27 frozen scallop dinner to occupy some space on the plate. My dinner was simpler. My veggie burger was described... More

We lunched at this restaurant and really were impressed with the food .Everything is like "home cooked goodness" .Portions are larger than on finds at other galena restaurants. Great to find a restaurant away from the hustle and bustle of main street Galena .A real restaurant with attentive servers not just another burger joint which seams to be the trend... More

My wife and I wanted a light dinner on a cold November evening when nearly nobody was downtown. We saw this restaurant which said they were not open on Sundays (+) and that they did not charge more for split plates (+). At 8:00 we were the only customers (+). The place was clean, and the women there friendly. We... More

Food was very nice served promptly. Sisters were very friendly, decor little sparse. On the second floor from Main street but can come in on the upper side and not have to climb the stairs
