At The Market House Restaurant we focus on the dinner table with homemade food like mom and grandma use to make. We are Family Run by three sisters and a brother and enjoy helping others to share in their good times. We hope you enjoy our quaint and friendly atmosphere and that your experience is one you'll never forget.

Never a bad meal

This restaurant is on the second floor off of Main Street. It's a little disorienting when you walk up the stairs and it feels like you walked into the back of the bar as an employee. Don't let that first impression fool you. After eating here several times, the food has always been good and... read more

Can access from inside or outside stairs. Tables close together. Service fine. Food was average. Atmosphere below average. A scoop of crab salad served with some entries.

It's so weird to enter this restaurant by going up a flight of stairs and through the door only to be entering the restaurant from behind the bar. That's weird, but very interesting menu with lots of ordinary items to unique options. Good food, good service, back door guests are best, I guess!

We tried this restaurant for lunch yesterday. Although you have to climb a few stairs it was worth the extra effort. On a very hot day it was a great place to cool off. The service was good, and entrees we had were cook to perfection.

We ate here on a Monday night, so it wan't very busy. Mostly local customers. Homey atmosphere. Good food & plenty. The entrance from the sidewalk wasn't very inviting. we almost thought it was closed.

We enjoyed our food and thought the prices were very reasonable. However, the reason for the 3 stars was the slow service. It took a long time to place our order, receive our food and especially slow to get our bill. Would still recommend.

We stopped in here for a light lunch - SO GLAD WE DID! You have to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the restaurant, at street level there is a Statue of a Waiter with a sign - it is easy to walk past it so make it a point to get here. Upon entry we were... More

The Market Place is a solid restaurant for consistently good food and good service. The value for the money is very good.

Expected this to be one of those neat hidden places with a unique atmosphere and better than average food as it was recommended by a local. The dinning room was just ordinary so we took to the back sunroom with dying plants and a non-hidden service counter. This could have been so neat. Of course I had to try their... More
