Great sushi

Some of the freshest and best sushi I've had on the mainland in the U.S. Galena is lucky to have this restaurant. Always a perfect spot for quick lunch or dinner.

I have been to this place about 50 times since it opened 6 or 7 years ago. They really have a solid sushi offering 85% of the time, which is better than most other Japanese places. The owners are very nice and the non sushi offering is excellent as well. Good, casual atmosphere for lunch or dinner. I highly recommend... More

We had wanted to stop in on Tuesday for lunch but they were closed, although their website indicated that they were open on Tuesdays. Finally stopped in for an early dinner (4:30) before heading home on Wednesday. Although we were acknowledged when we entered and told to sit anywhere, it was several minutes before a server came to our table.... More

Only giving it four stars because of the atmosphere. Sushi gets five stars. locals let us know if he can't get fresh fish the way he wants it he will go all the way to Chicago to buy it. New and interesting rolls, some wrapped in cucumber or soy paper. The white tuna and the eel were very good.

Being from the Chicago area, I never thought we'd find decent sushi in Galena. However, we were all pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh and well priced

I love Sushi. I rate this place as average due to the cost and the sushi is average. Meaning not horrible but tasty. The service is ok.

My wife and I took take out from Little Tokyo while spending the weekend in Galena. We tried the California roll and the Dynamite roll. Both are on their basic sushi menu. The flavors for each were distinct and fresh. We also had the Gyoza (pot stickers) from the appetizer menus. very nice! We'll definitely go back there this weekend... More

The Tuna tar tar is the best (my favorite). The tiny multi colored caviar on top makes the most delightful popping sensation when you bite into it!! The combination of the tuna, thinly sliced avocado, caviar and delicious sauce is like a party in your mouth. Pair it with the Miso soup and your meal is complete. The service is... More

The restaurant seems like a family owned business like most shops in Galena. The sushi was tasty and well made and presented. The restaurant is on a hill so you can notice the slightly tilted floors if you pay attention. The service is a bit slow but it's a relaxes town so no rush at all. Loved the food and... More

Fresh sushi great change of pace to the fried foods of downtown. Unexpected in Galena, IL something for everyone. Bento box is a great value for kids.
