Great casual eatery on a street with many

Went with wife for lunch. I had shrimp taco and wife had Cuban pork sandwich. Many great selections on menu. Eat in a historic Desoto Hotel.

Food was great, but the service was not great. Our server was not very good about checking on us. We waited over a half hour for our food and was only told about a wait 20 minutes or so into our wait. Had to ask about our food again. My husband sat with an empty drink and no server checking... Decor was great, lots of history. Food was ok but not great. Service was good and prices average. Lots of other places to eat besides this one. Menu choices were fairly limited.

Love the large menu and have never had a bad meal. Comfortable, clean atmosphere and friendly service and is centrally located on Main Street so quick and easy to get to. Had the chicken quesadilla appetizer as a meal, tasted very good had leftovers. On another visit had the grilled chicken sandwich, the red pepper aioli was a tasty change... More

This restaurant is a part of the Desoto Hotel ( circa 1855). The service was great and the food the same. Sitting outside in July and roasting under the sun was nice.

The food was very good and the history of the tavern and hotel was very interesting. It was one of the first in the area! Very well preserved and a lot to see as you walked around. The service was good as well as the food and well worth the affordable value!! I would definitely recommend it!

We stopped here on a Friday slightly after the noontime rush. The menu advertised an all you can eat Fish Fry — a big deal in the Wisconsin area, and cities and towns near the border. We decided to try that, along with a bowl of their “Cream of Bleu Cheese Soup.” I was a little worried that the soup... More

Tried this and was pleasantly surprised with the good food and great service. With all the eating options in Galena, we will be going back here on our next trip.

Lunch on the patio on a pretty summer's day with my boyfriend. Had the French said and it was tasty. Located in The DeSoto Hotel. Simple good food in a nice atmosphere.

We stopped in for a late lunch and weren't disappointed. Drinks and food were both excellent, wait staff was attentive. We will definitely be back next time we are in Galena.
