This place has it all. The history and ambiance is perfect! Their wine is the best! I had their Apple and berry salad with salmon and chicken on my last visit and it was wonderful. Fresh and tasty!! I love the DeSoto House and Green street!!

Casual dining with great prices and tasty food. The nachos are terrific and the cream of bleu cheese soup is amazing and if you ask they will share their recipes. The place to take a break from the wonderful Galena shopping get some lunch, set your bags down and give your arms and feet a rest.

Had a nice lunch at Green Street. The ribs and fries were yummy but sweet potato fries not so great. Great service and a nice setting and location in the heart of Galena.

This weekend we stayed at the DeSoto Hotel. We really enjoyed our burger and fried cheese curds. YUMMY! Also our waitress was great & listened to us. We only said once we were going to share our burger, she brought it to us cut & on 2 plates, I'm a server as well and appreciate when another server takes the... More

Because the weather was superb, I chose to have lunch on the outside porch. Good choice as you could watch all the comings and goings. Polite knowledgeable waitress, wonderful baby spinach salad - complete with strawberries, onions, mandarin oranges and more - just delightful! The best part was a warm roll with strawberry butter - mmmm. Excellent lunch choice -... More

Noisy patrons spoiled this otherwise excellent lunch stop. The food was great, the staff were knowledgeable and helpful but three couples sitting at one of the dining room and all their noisy children at the other made it hard to enjoy ourselves. Highly recommend the tavern but check out the patrons before sitting down.

My family (5 of us) had lunch here while in Galena for the weekend. The food was good but service not so good. The service could have been better, it seemed as if waitress wasn't very good at multitasking, not sure if she was overwhelmed with the number of tables she was servicing, even though there didn't seem to be... The service was good and the place was nice. I ordered a Bison rib eye steak Med rare and got a steak that was so over cooked I could hardly eat it.
