We ate here the Saturday of Country Fair weekend so they had a special weekend menu. It consisted of BBQ pulled chicken, hamburgers, bratwurst etc. all served with chips and a pickle. Food was very good.

Stopped in for a few drinks. The bartender was really, really friendly and attentive. He was pretty knowledgeable about some of the local beers there and the surrounding area. Would of given this place a 5 but was really turned off how a waitress dealt with some other patrons behind us. She was really unpleasant and was complaining the whole... More

This is our classic hangout for those morning afters in Galena. Stop in and sip on a wonderful bloody mary while you think about having that delicious Reuben sandwich on the menu. Have that with fries and a pickle and you'll be fixed up in no time and ready to shop.

Server was attentive and very nice despite having responsibility for most of the tables in the entire pub. She was efficient and never looked harried. Food was ok by standards of a nice person who's a vegetarian and whose only real vice is to be a bit of a food snob. By Galena standards it was quite good.

We met up with high school friends there on a Friday night. They had the Friday fish special and said it was good. I had a cheeseburger which was top shelf and my wife had a salad which she really liked. If you go there for a meal I suggest to asked to be seated in the back room which... More

The Green Street Tavern, located in the famous DeSoto House hotel, was a great place to get supper Friday night before the Galena Ghost Walk which started in the DeSoto House lobby. The food, service, and drinks were all excellent! After our Ghost Tour Saturday night, which had their van stop just behind the hotel, we stopped in the Green... More

We stopped by for dinner. I had the battered cod and my guests had sandwiches. My fish was pretty greasy, but fine. My fiancé's sandwich had dents in the bun from the cooks fingers. Our server seemed a bit confused with what was going on in the restaurant. It wasn't awful, but there are many other places to go.

I had the best salad I have ever had here. Parmesan encrusted Chicken,etc....blue cheese....just the best. Everyone else was delighted with their choices as well... Can't lose here.

We love coming to Galena and staying at the DeSoto house....it's right on the Main Street where all the action is. The Greenstreet tavern is attached to the DeSoto house... They have excellent bar staff especially Jesse who is so efficient and friendly! He makes a great "specialty" drink that is worth coming in for. Nice place to watch sports... More
