Great Steaks

If you are carnivore, big time, this is the place for you. Steaks are great, done just right. Nice atmosphere and great service. Has an outdoor patio for balmy nights tho it does face a well travelled street. Across the street is "Little Cubs Field" a local baseball field next to community park... read more

Fieldstone is owned by the Beckman's who also own Cannova's next door. Both restaurants are great. I recommend Cannova's first but if they have a long wait, go next door to the Fieldstone. You won't be disappointed. Cannova's isn't in the Tripadvisor list but I had to mention them.

Skip the fried calamari appetizer. Go for the pork chop or the scallops main dish. Other reviews at the table were also very positive about the main dishes.

On holiday, we stopped in Freeport, IL for a night and were looking for a fine meal. We found it at The Fieldstine Inn. We were impressed with the service and the high quality of the food. The atmosphere was jazzy with music to match. Even my gin and tonic was above average. This is a restaurant worth visiting. Lovely... More

It’s hard to believe that this restaurant is next door to, and owned by the same person as Cannova’s, to which I gave an average rating. I would say that Fieldstone has the best food of any place I’ve eaten in Freeport. We’ve had their steaks, their fish, and their seafood, and was very impressed with the presentation, the side... I enjoyed an excellent meal at The Fieldstone Inn. While it is known as a Steak house I had fish and it was great. I also had the vegetables which were excellent as well. The prices were very reasonable. They were also very service oriented. I hope to eat there again tomorrow.
