Casual barbecue

Nice atmosphere, casual dining. Great service from our waitress Mary Ann. Food was good. Had to try the fried pickles and homemade potato chips. Very good! Enjoyed having the different BBQ sauces at the table to choose from for our dinner of pulled pork and pulled chicken.

The owners have a great concept here. I've had some outstanding meals, but unfortunately the food isn't consistently good.

We ate Sunday lunch on Smokey Barque's patio and were able to listen to music from the freeisic stage. The menu has greatly expanded from our last visit and was diverse and delicious. I had the shrimp burrito which was outstanding. Others in my group had salads, burgers, and wraps which were all good. A sampling of their home cooked... More

My husband & I went here to try Smokey Barque on Saturday afternoon after getting a coupon for a free burger or sandwich. I ordered the pulled chicken sandwich while my husband got the polish sausage sandwich. We got some chips to start with to try all of their sauces. The sweet Memphis, Spicy Texas, vinegar based North Carolina &... More

Are here last night and was very impressed. The pulled pork plate was extremely moist and delicious. The portions are large and very filling. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend trying if you're in the area.

Thought we would try it when we were in Frankfort on a Thursday night during cruise night. We're able to get a table outside and were able to people watch while we ate. The meal started with free homemade potato chips, we got a chance to try the different barbecue sauces on the chips. We ordered brisket tacos and shrimp... More

Disappointing. Seated outside fairly quick on car show night. Service was good in terms of the wait staff. However it took forever to get our drinks and food. Food was awful. Taste and quality was poor. We had the pulled chicken and pulled pork. Both were bad. Veggie was nasty, and cornbread was dry. Definitely will not go back again.

Have eating here in the past & it was worth recommending to others, but our visit on 05/31/2015 for dinner was terrible. We ordered the Brisket Dinner and it was the worst that I have ever eaten - meat was tough, dry & tasteless, corn bread was cold & .stale, mashed potatoes were cold & old looking. Beer came in...
