Great Ice Cream!

This shop has great hand scooped ice cream! The waffle cones are amazing and you can mix any ice cream flavors you want. The ice cream has a nice grit to it which I absolutely love. It's a cute little place, perfect to sit down and enjoy a cone or bowl any time!

Great place to visit for a scoop. Its in downtown FP, so the parking is scarce. Your best bet is to grab a cone or dish and walk around town for awhile. The pie case looks delicious, but I can't turn away the ice cream. Lots of fun flavors for floats!

Everyone loves this place and apparently it is ranked #12 in the nation according the US News and World Report. The staff is great if not a little slow sometimes. The waffle cones make the place smell amazing and taste really good. When the ice cream cookie sandwiches are fresh (they usually are, but i had a bad one once)... More

Did you see the recent picture in the Tribune's Dining Section of the root beer float at the Brown Cow Ice Cream Parlor in Forest Park? It was enough to persuade my wife and I to get out of a warm house, brave the cold weather and drive to the old-fashioned soda fountain at 7347 Madison Street in the western... More

I had the coconut brownie fudge. All my favorite flavors in one scoop! The prices are reasonable. There was a bit of a wait on a Sunday evening.

We have been going to the Brown Cow for years and years-- we especially loved to go after seeing a show at the old Circle Theatre. Their current parlor is so cute and a great spot for our group of friends to gather on the benches outside. And the inside is really cool too. (Look up! It used to be... More

Old fashioned style ice cream parlor. Lots of flavors to choose from. If you can't find a flavor that you like here, you're an elitist. Be good to yourself; grab a scoop or two.

So great. We take our 3 year old granddaughter here and she loves it...so do we. Ample portions and high quality ice cream.

Had high hopes for this ice-cream shop. The ice cream I received had Ice crystals on it! A lot of the reviews mention this particulat flavor. The teen-agers made me uncomfortable due to their remarks made toward me. I am disabled and have a Service Dog. They were loud, they didn't care the whole entire place heard them, yes, the... More
