This place is always packed. Took us 3 tries to eat here as they always have a long wait and I hate waiting! The trick is to go early. They do not take reservations so if you are going with more than 6 people, you will probably have to wait a while. The food portions are huge! I had leftovers... More

We can speak for the Toasted Ravioli appetizer, the T-Bone steak, and the Southern Chicken Strips, and all were excellent! Portions truly are as "generous" (Paul Bunyon-sized) as other reviewers have indicated. But, after I almost filled up on the appetizer, we had more than enough left over for a picnic lunch at Forest Park the next day! Our server... More

We waited nearly an hour for a seat and it was well worth it. The portions are enormous and the food is absolutely amazing, I suggest trying the jambalaya. Even the ice in the drinks is amazing. No more needs to be said, this restaurant will not disappoint.

Stopped in Vienna, IL for gas on the way to O'Fallon and the folks there told us about Lotawata Creek. They said they would drive almost 2 hours just for a meal there. So I had to have lunch there. I ordered the The Big Heart Attack Burger and my brother-in-law ordered the Big Hillbilly Fried Pork Chop Sandwich. Both... More

This is the second time I have been here and I am here to tell you that you will not be disappointed. Both times we enjoyed a hot & tasty meal.

Food remains filling and good, but quality should be improved. Most customers leave with to-go boxes. Service was OK, but bordered on indifferent. Video gambling in a small inside space. NEW this year = TV ads. Go after the lunch rush and before the dinner rush, to avoid long waits. As the slogan says = this is real food, not... More

I think this restaurant goes over the line with portion size but at least they admit it. I think they could reduce the portion size to increase the quality. The service was not great for larger parties but there might have been some back of the house issues that evening. I don't know that I would eat here again as... More

If you are looking for something out of the ordinary this is the place to try. Warning their portions are huge and you better plan on taking food home with you. I've tried several different meals and have not been disappointed with any of them. If you come at dinner time you will have to wait but the food is... More

HUGE portions. Great food. Friendly staff. I highly recommend. We came in like, 10 minutes before closing but the staff never acted like it bothered them at all.

Great Place to eat. The service was excellent and the food was out of this world good. The portions are more than one person could possible eat in one sitting. Consider sharing although there is a $2 up charge for sharing meals. Overall it was a wonderful dining experience. Lunch menu is reasonable priced for all you get. Hope everyone... More
